Night photos of the city of Porto, Portugal

Hello all dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Day before yesterday I returned from a short six-day trip to Portugal and specifically to the beautiful city of Porto. I was invited by a dear friend of mine whom I met last year in my city in Italy with whom I shared many moments of painting. Today I share as a taster for the next post a series of night photographs of the city.

Porto is a city full of nightlife where people from all over the world who love music, food and art meet.

The aspect I really liked about the city is the architecture of the many bridges including a very famous one called Dom Luis designed by the architect Eiffel, the same one who designed the famous tower in Paris.

The bridges are all over the Duero River that crosses the city, connecting it from Gaia, the other city on the opposite bank, but the Dom Luis bridge is really majestic and innovative.

The panoramic night view of the Duero River is truly breathtaking.

The most famous neighborhood visited by tourists is Ribeira, near the Dom Luis Bridge where we can find dozens of places with music, dining and typical stores, and especially where to drink excellent Portuguese wine.

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. L'altro ieri sono tornato da un breve viaggio di sei giorni in Portogallo e precisamente nella bellissima città di Porto. Sono stato invitato da un mio caro amico che ho conosciuto l'anno scorso nella mia città in Italia con il quale ho condiviso molti momenti di pittura. Oggi condivido come assaggio per il prossimo post una serie di fotografie notturne della città. Porto è una città ricca di vita notturna dove si incontrano persone di tutto il mondo che amano la musica, il cibo e l'arte. L'aspetto che mi è piaciuto molto della città è l'archiettura dei numerosi ponti di cui uno famosissimo chiamato Dom Luis progettato dall'architetto Eiffel, lo stesso che ha progettato la famosa torre a Parigi. I ponti sono tutti sul fiume Duero che attraversa la città, collegandola da Gaia, l'altra città sulla riva opposta, ma il ponte Dom Luis è veramente maestoso e innovativo. La vista panoramica notturna del fiume Duero è veramente mozzafiato. Il quartiere più famoso e visitato dai turisti è Ribeira, vicino al ponte Dom Luis dove possimao trovare decine di locali con musica, ristorazione e negozi tipici, e soprattutto dove bere dell'ottimo vino portoghese.
