Today, I bring to you the Sphodromantis gastrica, also known as the common mantis.
This mantis is still small, and I took many pictures from different angles — I must say, they are really beautiful.
This insect is completely green, and its eyes are yellow.
Its wings are still developing, and it looks really cute.

Check them out below!

This is one of my favorite insects. But don't tell any of the other insects, because I tell them all that I love them the best. Lovely photos

You are really funny. ☺️🙌 I can't stop laughing 🤣. Okay, I've been trying to communicate with these insects—just give me this superpower, and I promise to keep your secret!

Thank you...But you know, I'm not really joking completely...And mantis seem especially easy to communicate with. I'm not the only person I know who has had a friendship with one or more of them. I used to care for a friend's garden and there were two, who lived in different parts of the garden. When I came to their part of the garden...(I was always singing to the plants and the insects and all of the garden while I gave water) Both of these mantis would come out each morning and hop onto my body and hang out up on my shoulder or clinging to my clothing on some part while I was watering their territory and then debark after a little while...me singing and chatting to them and them gazing in-tense-ly into my face. I also got to meet the mantis who was a friend and housemate of another man. He called him Walter. He came when called!!

That’s incredible! It sounds like they’re drawn to your energy, like you’ve formed a bond with them. Initially, I thought that you were pulling my legs, so I tried to play along. Although, I have had experiences of mantis clinging to me but I get scared. I am really sorry for the joke. To be candid, most people would brush them off, but you’ve created a safe space they seem to trust. 💯 Thanks 😊 for creating a better view of the world that I see. Bye.
