The four main rivers of our Bangladesh are the Padma, Meghna, Jamuna and Brahmaputra.However the largest is the Padma followed by the Jamuna.However since 1994, the history of the Yamuna River has been different and even then I was not a witness to this history of the jamuna River because I was very young then.

In 1996-97, I kept hearing that a bridge was being built on the jamuna River which would be the biggest and longest bridge in the country.The entire country was excited about this because it was about to witness a new history.Because there were still no major bridges in the country.The entire country was waiting for the inauguration of that bridge.Good news for everyone.

A new coin was issued in 1995 commemorating the Yamuna Bridge.The coin had the picture of jamuna bridge on it and the entire country was very excited about this coin.Everyone wanted to get this coin at that time.In fact, everyone was eagerly waiting to hear that such a big bridge would be built in a poor country.Although our country was not so developed in the nineties.

At that time, I was also very happy to receive the coin and was even more excited to see the picture of the bridge.After the country gained independence, everyone in our country only heard the names of the big rivers but there were no bridges over the big rivers.So everyone was very excited even during the construction of this bridge.The bridge was about 4 kilometers long and had a railway line on one side.

The railway line, however, was a subject of much controversy because initially there was no plan to include the railway line project.Then the railway line was built along one side of the bridge, which everyone found dangerous.However when it was time to inaugurate the bridge, everyone forgot the controversy and the 1998 bridge was inaugurated.The entire country was excited and eagerly waiting for the inauguration day.

The Prime Minister of the country was the first to inaugurate the bridge and open it for traffic.Hey, I was young then.Those who could afford it traveled from all districts of the country to see the bridge and travel by car on the day of its inauguration.The inauguration moment was broadcast live on the country's national television and we watched that broadcast on TV.The countrymen are happy even when they are sitting in front of the TV.

I watched the moment of the bridge inauguration sitting in front of the TV and I still remember it.Yes this is the first major bridge over any river in the country and the longest bridge.So everyone was a little more excited about it.The Yamuna River separated 16 districts of North Bengal from the capital Dhaka division, and then the bridge made it easier for everyone to travel.After that many people started going to the Jamuna Bridge for a walk.

This bridge was first named Bangabandhu Bridge or Jamuna Bridge.The beauty of the jamuna River is immense.There is a large bridge over the jamuna River which further enhances the beauty of the surroundings.

I first climbed the Jamuna Bridge in 2007.I have been there many times since then because a resort has been built there.Till now everyone goes there to see the beauty of the Jamuna River and to see the longest bridge in the country.However it is no longer in the first row because another six-kilometer-long bridge has been built over the Padma River in the country.So the Jamuna Bridge has now moved to number two.

Yet many people still visit to enjoy the beauty of the jamuna River and the Yamuna Bridge.Another happy thing is that another railway bridge has been built next to the Jamuna Bridge, which is the first and longest railway bridge in the country.Undoubtedly Bangladesh is no longer in the list of poor countries.Bangladesh has now moved to the list of developing countries.Many visitors still come to see the two bridges.

During the monsoon season, the river is full and everyone is busy with boat trips. Through boat trips, you will see the immense beauty of the jamuna River and you can travel under the bridges in the boat.We also didn't want to miss out on the beauty of the Yamuna River during this monsoon season, so we went on a boat trip last Friday.We boarded the boat at 10 am and we paddled for an hour on the banks of the jamuna.After an hour we reached the bridge.

The vast jamuna River and you can't see from one end to the other.Many types of boats are plying on the river.I saw the sunset in the afternoon.The most enjoyable thing was seeing the railway bridge for the first time after it was built.We went on this trip with friends and we were all very excited.It was a joyous journey in sunny weather.Such trips are necessary to relieve work fatigue and for peace of mind.Travel to improve mental health
