Wednesday Morning Walk

This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.

Am I wrong, or have I really not written anything about my Wednesday walks for over a month? Time flies faster than I have time to process and publish all the reports about my walks. The real summer has come to us.

At 5 a.m., the dog is waiting for me to go out to her, take her leash and we will go to the forest, or rather for a walk towards the river. It is very pleasant to walk through the forest now, because there are no blood-sucking insects - mosquitoes, gadflies. The only danger is ticks.

For almost a week now, during the day, the thermometer has been showing temperatures in the shade around +30 degrees Celsius. Believe me, friends, that such a temperature regime is abnormal for our region, even in the middle of summer, and now it's only May. And this temperature is predicted before the end of the week.

Yesterday morning, while walking, looking at the river, I thought it was time to take a spinning rod and go fishing, but today I couldn't do it because I had to prepare the fishing gear. Now I plan to do it on Friday. To do this, I will need to wake up not at 5 a.m., but at 3 a.m.
By the way, the photo is not a river, but a lake.

The seagulls are expressing their displeasure in my direction, I have disturbed them. There are probably nests of them somewhere on this lake.

So yesterday I was not mistaken when I thought that fishermen were already on the river. I saw their footprints and the remains of food on the table, which is at the resting place.
I want to go fishing!

Yellow wagtails fly and are not afraid of me. @nelinoeva, this is already your topic, my next post will probably be about birds.

The bird cherry is already finishing blooming. There is such a sign that when it begins to bloom, it gets cold. This is exactly how it was at the beginning of its flowering. On Sunday, my mother picked some cherry blossoms and brought them into the house. I explained to her that the scent of wild cherry can give you a headache. After half an hour of our conversation, my mother brought a vase of flowers from her room to me and said - yes, they need to be removed, they smell very strong. Mom is 85 years old and she has already apparently forgotten about this feature of bird cherry and lilac.

Oh, how much I sweated during the walk. You have to wear rubber boots on your feet, because you have to cross several streams on the way to the river and the grass is very wet from dew. There was the same heavy dew yesterday. There was no such thing on Sunday.
So... is there always a choice - to go through the ravine or just go up the path? I chose the road through the ravine. But I usually take the upper path from home.

Mom plucked bird cherry branches from this tree. Bird cherry grows very fast. So this tree is getting bigger every year. But I've never eaten berries here before.

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.

Well. Have all my friends, observers, and readers, wonderful walks on Wednesdays. And also on Sundays and any other day!

Yes, I totally agree with you, that's the real truth!

As my friend says, I will still live to see the moment when we can communicate freely with the whole world again. He is now 71 years old. His dad died two months ago at the age of 101.
I tell my friend that we will wait for this moment and be able to communicate with everyone again without sanctions.

And I am hopeful I will live to see an end to the damage my country has inflicted on the world. Imagine.... And the world shall live as one.
