The World Turned White Again (10pics)

The world has become black and white again, or rather, the white color is 80 percent in this World now. 50 shades of white.
But we know that nature doesn't have bad weather.
I didn't go to the office today. It started snowing last night, so it's better not to drive on the freeway or into the big city on such days. Some motorists have already replaced winter tires with summer tires, and these drivers are a real danger on the road.
If I'm not going to the office, it means I'm going for a morning walk with my dog Nora. I go and sing a song about the snow that falls from the sky and he doesn't know that the whole World turns white because of him.

But the World is not perfectly white, it is one of its shades, more like pale gray. The time is 6:30 and the sun is not illuminating the landscape enough through a dense veil of clouds. Besides, by the end of my walk, the snowfall had intensified.

This ravine always has its special microclimate. It can be cool here in summer, and it can be warmer here in winter than in an open field. Why is this happening? Everything is simple. The sun's rays don't get in here, only a little when the sun's rays come in here along the ravine. It can take literally 15-30 minutes. The ravine is covered with tall coniferous trees from above. It's like a dome protecting this place from the wind, which cannot break through such an obstacle.



In the early 90s, a ski trail ran through this ravine. It was a great descent, and I still remember the feeling of skiing down here.
At that time, I started working at a local match factory and it had an extensive sports life: football, skiing, winter and summer fishing.
Now no one drives anything along this ravine. We walk with our feet here.


Well, today is April 8th. Snow is falling. But I'm even glad of it. Why am I glad? In my childhood and even youth, the snow began to melt intensively around the 20th of April. And that was the norm. In recent years, due to climate change, snow begins to melt in early April or even at the end of March, but then it may start to fall in late April or early May. Therefore, I hope that the end of April will be warm!
