The Pink Elephant (Dubai Safari Park)

Greetings, friends.
Today I decided to tell a sad fairy tale with pictures about a baby elephant who grew up big and strong, but happiness did not come to him.

So, the curtain rises and the show begins.

I think many readers have heard of the pink panther, which even has a song about it. My story is about the pink elephant.
In places where baobabs grow and it's always summer and no one has ever heard of a cold winter, a baby elephant was born on a beautiful sunny morning. The bright morning rays of the Sun illuminated it and turned it pink, and all the animals in the jungle gasped in delight at the sight of this pink baby elephant.
The baby elephant was growing up, there were a lot of cheerful forces in him, he did not wear boring shoes, and it seemed that rays of joy and happiness radiated from this pink guy. Next to him, all the inhabitants of the jungle felt happy and everyone knew that it would be like this forever. In any case, no one thought that this could come to an end.

The smart tigers, the stupid jackal, all moved more quietly and cautiously if the baby elephant was asleep. The baby elephant was a little baggy and awkward on the outside and had kind ears and an affectionate look.

But one day an evil hunter came to this paradise, he saw this amazing baby elephant, unlike other elephants, and decided to catch it. He killed the baby elephant's parents, and put him in a cage and took him far from his home. Why did the hunter do this? What motivates hunters? This hunter was definitely not dying of hunger, he was driven by vanity to shoot an unusual prey and show it off to other people. And he also thought that people would pay him money so that they could look at the pink elephant, but he did not take into account one circumstance - the baby elephant unexpectedly turned gray like all elephants.

The animals in the Zoo are laughing and joking about the baby elephant: "Oh, the handsome one is as gray as a house!"
But the elephant was kind and never wished anyone harm, so the Elephant smiled and forgave these scoffers. But, for some reason, he suddenly became sad and stopped smiling.

The hyenas laughed the loudest. These animals always laugh very nastily and their whole appearance shows that they do not know what kindness is. But the Elephant didn't seem to notice their mockery, he was kind.

The striped guy, zebra, was showing off his striped clothes. He always asked his stupid question: what color am I - black with white stripes or white with black stripes? And the elephant didn't know the right answer, and the zebra laughed at him even more.

Only the lioness, the princess of animals, did not laugh at the Elephant. She was lying on the highest place in the zoo and told the Elephant:
"You shouldn't be discouraged, there's no trouble, I know you're pink! Maybe by chance, somewhere in your dream, you leaned against a gray wall!"

My good elephant, I'm sorry, there are grey days in life! The sun will soon give you the dawn, turn your skin pink!

@melinda010100, I'm talking to you. I think your daughter-in-law should know the song "Pink Elephant", on the basis of which I told this story.

I took these photos and a walk around the Dubai Zoo on Christmas Day 2023.
