The Hawk Is a Symbol Of Speed

This week's theme (ROUND 245)
SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD. FREE THEME

Hey, @nelinoeva. How are you?
You already know for sure that my bird feeder has been working since the end of September. At first, my wife even scolded me for starting to feed the birds early, because they can find food for themselves. But now we've switched roles, and I'm the one who scolds her for forgetting to put food out for the birds when I'm not home.
But I want to tell you that the feeder attracts not only small birds such as titmice, sparrows, and bullfinches, but also a real predator, as swift as lightning. It's a hawk. I understand perfectly well that this is called the food chain, but my wife is upset that the hawk catches small birds and carries them away into the forest.

When the hawk first started coming to the feeder, I didn't even realize what was happening at first: the birds would scatter in different directions or press themselves against the branches of the tree, and the hawk would make one quick attack and fly away. Last year, he changed his tactics. After the first attack, he would turn around and start flying around the tree. I think he was afraid to come before, but then he realized that he was in no danger and that food was waiting for him on the tree. He even started perching on a tree that is literally 2 meters from the window, or catching birds by pushing through the branches. If you look at last year's photos, the bird usually sat with its back to me, but now it boldly sits with its chest facing me.

By the way, this wasn't even the first time a hawk had flown in this year. It first flew in in September, but it didn't give me time to grab my camera.
It even flew in during the summer, but most likely it was just checking out the hunting grounds. In summer, blue tits are difficult to spot among the branches of trees, as the leaves provide excellent camouflage and cover.

Yesterday afternoon, the hawk flew in and landed on the tree again, giving me a chance to grab my camera. He wasn't in a hurry. He felt completely safe. He didn't even try to catch the titmice; apparently, he wasn't hungry. In the photo, you can see a titmouse sitting a little above the hawk, also unafraid.

The hawk had no intention of sitting on the tree forever; after the photo shoot, it flew away along the street at low altitude.

Well, I understand that he is often near the tree now.
When I sit at my computer by the window, I often see titmice flying away from the tree in panic in different directions and sometimes hitting the window. The hawk scares them with his attacks.
Such is life.

Парень-девчонка? Вау... а и правда, они вроде разные. Но я думал, что это прилетает всегда одна птица.
