Greetings, friends.
About a month ago, I showed Kaliningrad through reflections.
I've been thinking about writing a post all day today, but I couldn't figure out how to start a post or what to write about. By evening, I remembered that back in the spring, I had not told about Dmitrov, a city in the Moscow region. I was passing through this city at the end of April, when I was on my way to visit my children in Volokolamsk. I specifically chose the route of my trip by car to visit this city and look at other settlements in the Moscow region.

I have already written that I wanted to see the Dmitrov Kremlin, but this Kremlin did not have a wall; there was only an earthen rampart. I climbed this rampart along some kind of dog patch, looked around a bit, and decided to head around the Kremlin to find the official entrance.

I saw what I was looking for. So that's where I need to put my feet. I wanted to go downstairs and look for a cafe or a fast food to eat.

This is a surprise; there is a small pond on the territory of the Kremlin. I have to find interesting reflections on the topic of the post. That's exactly what I need.

I was interested in this green house next to the pond. Such trips are interesting to me because they encourage me to search for information about new places I've seen.
What I found out about this house. I immediately assumed it was a 19th-century building. I wasn't even surprised by the fact that in Soviet times, the house was residential, and several families lived in it. Then it was given over to the administrative needs of the city, and until recently, it housed the administration of the Dmitrov Kremlin Museum.
In 2007, the house was renovated, and now it is a museum living room in the style of the 19th century. The house hosts concerts, themed evenings, and educational programs for children.



Assumption Cathedral, the central building of the Dmitrovsky Kremlin Museum-Reserve. I realized that church services were held in this Cathedral because I saw women going there in the morning with headscarves on their heads, as they usually go to such events.
An interesting fact is that the time of construction of this cathedral is not documented. There are several hypothetical dates in the literature related to the reign of Prince Yuri in Dmitrov. The foundation stone of the cathedral is usually attributed to 1507 or 1509, and the completion to 1533.
But why aren't there fortress walls at the Kremlin? The wooden Kremlin was burned down during the Time of Troubles, in 1610 by the troops of Sapieha and Lisovsky and was no longer restored due to the loss of the fortress defensive significance.
Before that, the Fortress walls were destroyed at least 7 times, the first was done by Prince Svyatoslav of Kiev in 1181, then several more times the fortress was destroyed by Mongol-Tatar troops.

I left the Kremlin through the Nikolsky Gate and found myself, as I understood it, in the central square of the city with various administrative buildings. But where can I eat?






I was walking towards McDonald's, or rather now it's called "Delicious, period", and I saw a fountain with frogs. I read earlier that the frog is a symbol of the city. But I didn't quite understand the story.
Maybe the frogs saved the city, like geese once saved Rome?

In April, the fountains were not working yet.

Well, I took a shawarma, drank coffee, and drove on towards Klein, then to Volokolamsk.
In a week, I will go by car towards Moscow again, and my path will be straight.
