Our Embankment And Children's Park

Greetings, friends.
Today I want to tell you and show you the embankment of our city and the Pushkin Children's Park.
I just learned last week that our Embankment is being transformed into something new and unusual. It turns out that I was here last time back in the winter. I'm even ashamed that I walk the streets of our city so rarely. And today was the day I got here.

Our city is small, but rich in its history. The bell tower on the town square is part of this story and one of the symbols of the city. But today I will not linger on the square and will pass by the bell tower. My goal of the walk is the Embankment. The city is located on the high right bank of the Vyatka River.

Scarlet sails are another symbol of the city. The writer Alexander Green was born in our city. "Scarlet Sails" is his most famous work, in which the girl Assol was jokingly predicted that a prince would sail to her on a ship under scarlet sails, and this prediction came true. Now everyone entering our city from the east across the Vyatka River sees these sails.

I see that the shore has been cleaned and the bushes have been removed. Now the bridge is clearly visible from the Embankment.

The rotunda. There are 3 of them installed on the Embankment. This is the youngest, next to her is the heart of the newlyweds, on which the bride and groom hang a lock as a symbol of their strong love.

Does anyone see an unusual tinder mushroom on a tree? It looks like a vase.

Why is the children's park named after Pushkin? I hope that I don't need to talk about who Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin is? He is a famous Russian poet who wrote not only poetry, poems, but also interesting stories and wonderful fairy tales. It is believed that his old nanny told Pushkin fairy tales, which he later translated into poetry and told the whole world.
But how is our city connected with this poet? It's all about his wife, because of whom he died in a duel.
After the poet's death, his wife remarried and together with her husband came to our city and told the local nobles about Pushkin, which is why the poet's name appears in our city in the future.

In the park you can see figurines of characters from Pushkin's fairy tales. You can often read on social media that teenagers have broken something in the park. It's sad, but young people, especially guys don't know how to live any other way. They like to break and destroy everything.

A learned cat who walks in a chain around an oak tree, who sings songs and tells fairy tales. Who has ever heard of such a cat? Pushkin told us about him in his first completed poetic fairy tale, inspired by ancient Russian epics.

A goldfish that fulfilled all the wishes of the evil old woman in the fairy tale of the same name. The outcome of the tale was deplorable. The old woman could not stop in her desires, she wanted to become the mistress of the fish and therefore remained at the broken trough, having lost everything that the goldfish had given her throughout the tale.

Last year, the river was hidden from view by tall bushes. Now I can see the river! That's great!

I couldn't make it to the first rotunda. The passage is closed in the middle of the way. Intensive work is underway to improve the Embankment. I had to go back. By the way, I saw a banner stating that the work should be completed by October 1, 2026.
Well, I hope to see a beautiful Embankment this fall.
