Which of these two looks happier? The cat Marik or my grandson Timofey?
А nice sunny Sunday morning in a country house.
When I visit my grandson, Marik comes to me first. He hears that I have woken up and comes to receive a portion of caresses from me and share his own.
My grandson wakes up later than me and the cat. His parents can sleep until lunch, so the grandson is completely under my care until they wake up. However, I must say that even after they rise, my grandson is with me all day.

A cat, unlike a grandson, can sit quietly in one place. But the grandson can't sit, he needs to play and move. Until the moment my grandson woke up, the cat was sitting next to me. But then he sat down on the edge of the couch.

The cat, seeing my grandson's activity, decided to leave us anyway.
Small children don't know how to play with cats. Dogs can still tolerate ugliness from children, but cats do not like such violence and restrictions on freedom. They can even bite or scratch a child. They consider small children to be about equal in size, especially if the cat is large.
It also seems to me that Marik became jealous of his owners for Timofey because some of the attention and affection shifted to the child. I discussed this with my daughter, but she said no, cats get a lot of attention.
But, friends, when we went to Moscow on Sunday evening, it turned out that my daughter and son-in-law had forgotten to put the cats in the carrier, so I walked around the house and looked for them. Cats do not like to leave this country house for the city, they really like it here, as there is more room for them.
