Exploring the Unspoiled Forest, a Natural Beauty That Needs to be Protected (English-Español)
Natural forests are forest ecosystems that are formed and developed naturally by nature without or with human intervention, and in my country these natural forests are still easy to find considering that Indonesia is one of the lungs of the world which still has beautiful forests to this day.

Good evening, my friends, and happy 2026 to all my friends in this community, wherever you are.
On this occasion, I would like to share some images depicting the pristine forests found in my area, including one grasshopper that caught my cell phone's eye at the time.
So, please continue to follow my blog to see some of my images and short articles.

| A few days ago, I walked through a natural forest that made my inner atmosphere feel so calm with the faint sound of crickets chirping, interspersed with the dance of butterflies and dragonflies flying happily as well as several grasshoppers that caught my attention, the population of which was very abundant. |
This afternoon, I had the chance to visit a plantation. After a brief activity, I decided to head to a slightly further area, which is part of a customary forest area. This customary forest is protected by the local government for its sustainability.
I traveled to this customary forest with several local residents. Traveling alone without a permit is considered illegal and can even result in criminal penalties. This customary forest is a protected ecosystem, and their purpose was to visit the customary forest and observe its development. Some of them also wanted to capture photographs of tropical forest life to report on the development of the customary forest to the government.

| Customary forests are forests located within the territory of customary law communities and are usually used to ensure the welfare and sustainability of the surrounding customary communities. Management of customary forests prioritizes the principle of sustainability, where the customary forest area is also guarded and assisted by government officials to prevent damage. |
Considering that a few months ago, my region was also affected by a very severe natural disaster, the government ordered local officials to monitor customary forest areas. In recent years, many large trees growing wild within the customary forest have been cut down by certain individuals, resulting in significant impacts. One example is the flash floods that occurred in my area over the past few weeks, which brought an unusual amount of logs into the river. After checking their origin, it turned out that the logs came from swamps within the customary forest area.
My friend...
Accompanied by several local people, I was able to see and enter this customary forest area, which is still being preserved to this day.
At that time, what I saw were large trees growing wild in this area. Unfortunately, some of them had been cut down by irresponsible individuals. Nevertheless, some of the local people have vowed to protect this forest from continued destruction. To prevent this continued destruction, they have formed a forum consisting of a combination of government officials and local residents.
These are some pictures I took while in the forest area. At first glance, the atmosphere was pleasant and pristine, and the weather was also very pleasant that day.
Also, in this blog, I want to convey to all my friends that forests are a source of life and a legacy for the future. We all have a shared responsibility to preserve them. Destroying forests has a tremendous impact. One example is the natural disasters that have occurred in Sumatra, as you have seen in recent weeks. You can see the severity of these disasters through the hashtag #BanjirSumatera on social media.

| The grasshopper that caught my attention is that the grasshopper has a very important role in the natural ecosystem, one of which is its role in the food chain. As we can see, in the forest there are usually still various types of predators and grasshoppers are an important food source for several of their types. |
Grasshoppers are herbivores that play a vital role in the forest. The Javan grasshopper, also known as the Javan bird grasshopper, is a species of grasshopper found in Southeast Asia.
