A Beautiful Night Where I Found Fireflies With Their Amazing Light (English-Español)

Fireflies are a type of insect that can emit light that is clearly visible at night, as I found tonight, and I will share some pictures of them later.

Good evening, my friends, wherever you are. I'm back in this beloved community today to share some pictures. I found a very interesting and unique insect tonight: the firefly.

When I was little, finding fireflies in my village was easy. However, due to the dense population, finding these insects is now very difficult. This is the first time I've found one this year.

From a distance I saw a small light in the darkness and after I got closer it turned out that the light came from a type of insect which is usually called a firefly or known as kica-kica in my local language.Desde lejos vi una pequeña luz en la oscuridad y cuando me acerqué resultó que la luz provenía de un tipo de insecto que usualmente se llama luciérnaga o conocido como kica-kica en mi idioma local.

Then, after approaching and taking a closer look at the insect, I immediately took several pictures, as you can see above. These are some of the pictures I took when I first saw the insect.

My friends...
Fireflies are a type of insect that can emit light that is clearly visible at night. However, it is also important to emphasize that not all firefly species can emit light, and coincidentally, the one I encountered that night emitted light at night.

Regarding this insect, it can be found in swamps or wet forests, where there is an abundant food supply for its larvae. Coincidentally, a few days ago, my area was drenched by rain, which caused a natural disaster in some areas. So, that night, at a time when the electricity had been out for several days, I saw a small light in the distance, which was coming from this unique insect.

We can find these fireflies in swamps or slightly wet forests where the area is a little easier and there is a lot of food available for the larvae, and if you take a quick look at some of the pictures I shared above then you can guess that our area has just been hit by rain so some of the pictures I shared look like a slightly wet environment.

My friend...
Then I picked up the insect so I could take some more detailed and clear pictures. However, it was a bit difficult for me, considering these insects live wild and fly so agilely. And sure enough, before I could finish taking some pictures showing them clearly and in detail, the insect flew away from me, which made it impossible to find it again. However, I was a little personally satisfied because I had rediscovered this living creature with its extraordinary beauty at night.

Sometimes nature presents and displays its unparalleled beauty to us, even in the smallest things, like what I found tonight. However, most of us don't notice this perfect beauty. Therefore, I remind you all to preserve this already perfect nature. Because most of us humans have disturbed their habitats, making these insect populations a little difficult to find, as I experienced in the village. Where I used to see this insect almost every night, now it's the opposite, and this is the first time I've found it this year.

EnglishEspañol
a little about the type of food these insects eat, usually fireflies eat plant fluids, small snails, worms and other insectsUn poco sobre el tipo de alimento que comen estos insectos, por lo general las luciérnagas comen fluidos vegetales, pequeños caracoles, gusanos y otros insectos.

Okay, friends, those are some pictures and my short writing on this blog. If you'd like to read more details about these insects, you can see the link Wikipedia, where I personally took the short explanation of these insects from this blog.

And I also want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have viewed and read my blog to the end. Please leave your comments, support, and valuable input, which will help me create a better blog in the future.

That's all for now.
Greetings, everyone.
See you on my next blog.

Oh my goodness! You are so lucky, in my country it is rare to see them. Btw, they are in danger of extinction due to pollution on the planet. ☹️

😌 It's nice that you can still see them in your country. Take care of them. 😌

I think so too, this is a very beautiful night for me to be able to see the beauty of these insects, and it's a bit unfortunate because the pollution on earth is very worrying so that it disturbs their habitat, besides that, artificial light such as street lights in villages also really disturbs them in their communication efforts, it's a bit ironic, but we pray that the insect population can be maintained in the future, Thank you very much @quiubi for your visit and curation, continued success for this extraordinary community and have a nice day
