Crystal Clear Waters and Marine Life: My Day of Cays in Tucacas/ Aguas Cristalinas y Vida Marina: Mi Día de Cayos en Tucacas

A new day in Tucacas, a new adventure. This time, I'm going to show you my experience at Cayo Sombrero and Los Juanes. Cayo Sombrero, one of the best known, I've visited on other occasions, however, I don't think I had ever enjoyed it as much as this time. I had a lot of fun with some underwater viewing goggles; I was able to see fish. We also played with a volleyball or just swam; the truth is, with friends, any plan is a lot of fun. It was our first stop, so we didn't stay too long because we were very excited to visit the other cays. However, before leaving this cay, we took the opportunity to go see the sunken virgin, which is something very emblematic of Cayo Sombrero and an experience anyone who goes there cannot miss.

Next was Los Juanes, which is more of a natural pool than a cay, as it has a sandbank and the reef acts as a breakwater, and for that reason, the water is very calm, with very low waves. Normally, what you see of Los Juanes on social media is that there are always many boats, even yachts, the music is very loud, and a lot of people are crowded together. However, since we went during the week, it was quite empty, which was a pretty cool experience, as we were able to enjoy swimming freely, without having so many boats around us. I also approached the reef; you can see a lot of algae there, which different living beings feed on.

The boat ride is a unique experience; I truly recommend it highly to be able to enjoy many cays. The crystal-clear waters of these cays are ideal for snorkeling and enjoying seeing the marine life, playing on the shore for a while, or simply relaxing for a while with the sea view. Un nuevo día en Tucacas, una nueva aventura, en esta ocasión les voy a mostrar mi experiencia en Cayo Sombrero y Los Juanes. Cayo Sombrero, uno de los más conocidos, ya lo he visitado en otras ocasiones, sin embargo, creo que nunca lo había disfrutado tanto como en esta ocasión. Me divertí bastante con unos lentes para ver bajo el agua pude ver peces, también jugamos con un balón de voleibol o simplemente a nadar, la verdad, con amigos cualquier plan es muy divertido. Fue nuestra primera parada, así que no nos quedamos mucho tiempo porque estábamos muy emocionados por recorrer los otros cayos. Sin embargo, antes de partir de este cayo, aprovechamos y fuimos a ver la virgen hundida, que es algo muy emblemático de Cayo Sombrero y cualquiera que vaya no se puede perder de esta experiencia.

El siguiente fue los Juanes, que más que un cayo, es una piscina natural, ya que tiene un banco de arena y el arrecife hace una función de rompeolas, y por esa razón tiene una agua muy tranquila, con un oleaje muy bajo. Normalmente, lo que se ve de los Juanes en redes sociales es que siempre hay muchas lanchas, incluso yates, la música está muy alta y mucha gente aglomerada. Sin embargo, como fuimos entre semana, estaba bastante solo, lo cual fue una experiencia bastante chévere, ya que pudimos disfrutar de nadar libremente, sin tener tantas lanchas a nuestro alrededor. También me acerqué al arrecife, en este se ve mucha alga, de las cuales se alimentan diferentes seres vivos.

El recorrido en lancha es una experiencia única, la verdad la recomiendo bastante para poder disfrutar de muchos callos. Las aguas cristalinas de estos es ideal para hacer esnórquel y disfrutar de ver la vida marina, de jugar un rato en la orilla o simplemente relajarse un rato con la vista al mar.
