Rainy day and birds
Good morning, my dear hive friends.
Two weeks ago, I bought a new lens so I can improve my bird photography.
In my stash now, I have Sigma 150-600 contemporary lens.
It is so heavy that I can't feel my hand after using it, but hey, it's worth it.
Here is a result
It is grey-buff to pinkish-grey overall, a little darker above than below, with a blue-grey underwing patch. The tail feathers are grey-buff above, and dark grey and tipped white below; the outer tail feathers are also tipped whitish above. It has a black half-collar edged with white on its nape from which it gets its name. The short legs are red and the bill is black. The eye is surrounded by a small area of bare skin, which is either white or yellow. The two sexes are virtually indistinguishable.

The rook is a species of large black crow with glossy feathers. While it resembles a crow, its high-pitch call sets it apart. The best place to see the bird is in semi-open areas with plenty of trees or hedges. It is where the bird prefers to build its nest.
Everything about them you can find here
The loud cry from the carrion Crow lets everyone know the bird is in the area. It is often seen in semi and open habitats that include rural and suburban areas. The black-colored bird only gathers in large flocks when it is time to roost. Otherwise, it flies in pairs or small groups scavenging for insects, seeds, and even small animals.
All of them are such an amazing birds.. And smart. But one that I like the most are Herring gull
While the youngling was down in my back yard he had a surveillance from above. 😂😍 He was 2 metres away from me. Such a big bird and fearless 😍 well while he is young I suppose.
The herring Gull is a large common seabird often found on and near coastlines. These birds nest in colonies and create a hierarchy. They may travel considerable distances for food, which usually comes in the form of fish, insects, and other small invertebrates. Surprisingly, the herring Gull can live to be 30 years old, but is often injured or even poisoned before then.

Great shots! 🤩 That Sigma 150-600 really delivers. Bet those birds look amazing on the racetrack! 🐴
I'm amazed how crisp images are after taking the picture. Without any editing they look amazing 😍

Great shots! I know you're loving that lens! I love my Sony 200-600 for wildlife. Sony just came out with a new 400-800 that I am drooling over. Maybe a later in the year birthday present for myself. Looking forward to more of these!
Uuu that is nice to hear. Yeah best are self bought presents hahahah. I hope you will be able to buy it soon 😂. What is the price for that one
Oh yes they are. Best way to get what you want though!
Oh, they are ridiculous expensive right now, around $3K, which is why I don't have one. I'm hoping they will come down a good bit if I wait a few months.
