A day filled with greenery in Venezuela's most beautiful botanical garden
Hello friends of the worldmappin community, I hope you are all healthy and happy! In this post, I wanted to share with you a day that I loved. Last year, I visited Mérida here in Venezuela, where a friend of mine lives. I had wanted to see her for a long time, and I also wanted to visit this beautiful city, which I think is the most beautiful in all of Venezuela. I really recommend visiting it. On this day, I visited the Mérida Botanical Garden, a beautiful place full of trees, birds, rivers, and mountains. It was truly spectacular to see and feel so much nature. It was mesmerizing to feel that cool breeze on my face and breathe in so much fresh air. This garden is a huge area full of vegetation, crops, theme parks, and places where you can do activities like sightseeing, climbing, exhibitions, and picnics.
Here in this botanical garden, they also carry out programs for the conservation of endangered species, ecosystem conservation, and medicinal plant studies, among many other things that this space studies and creates.
This garden is relatively new, having opened in 2002. This is my first time visiting, and I am eager to return.
This part of the garden is called the "vine garden," where you can go climbing.
I would have liked to climb, but my biggest fear is heights, so I left it for my next visit. I hope to go again soon! Come join me!

The inexplicable flourishes in the botanical garden
There is something mysterious about all things beautiful in nature. It is said that in the Venezuelan Andes (Mérida, Táchira, and Trujillo), cities with lots of forests, mountains, and rivers, there is a legend about the momoyes, who are tiny benign beings that look like old men wearing hats and carrying canes. They are said to be guardians of nature with a playful personality and are seen near rivers. If they are disturbed by people littering their habitat, they can be very mischievous, hiding your things or playing pranks. People often offer them "miche" (an alcoholic beverage) and tobacco to ask them for favors related to crops and rain.
While I was staying at my friend's apartment in Mérida, some strange things happened to me. On one occasion, we were both chatting on the furniture in her living room. We were alone and everything was closed; there were no open windows. Suddenly, a small lock of hair that my friend had on the furniture flew out. We were perplexed, just looked at each other slowly, and continued chatting as if nothing had happened, but I'm almost certain it was a momoy. On another occasion in the same apartment, we were looking everywhere for my friend's bank card. It was a small apartment, so there weren't many places to look. My friend always left it in plain sight, on a table or in the kitchen, but it was nowhere to be found. Until she went back to her dressing table in her room and there was the card, right in the corner. But the strange thing is that she had already looked there a thousand times and the card wasn't there. Strange, isn't it? Yes! I do think a momoy was playing with us!

Un día lleno de verde en el jardín botánico más lindo de Venezuela
Hola amigos de la comunidad espero estén sanos y felices! En este post quería mostrarles un día que me encantó, el año pasado visité Mérida aquí en Venezuela donde vive una amiga que desde hace tiempo quería ver y a parte conocer esa hermosa ciudad que para mí es la mas linda de toda Venezuela de verdad que la recomiendo muchísimo visitar. Este día visite el Jardín Botánico de Mérida es un lugar hermoso lleno de árboles, pajaritos, ríos y montañas, de verdad fue espectacular ver y sentir tanta naturaleza, era hipnotizador sentir esa brisita fría por la cara y respirar tanta frescura. Este jardín es un área súper extensa llena de vegetación, siembras, parques temáticos y dónde también practican algunas actividades, como paseos turísticos, escalada, exposiciones, también se puede hacer picnics.
Aquí en este jardín botánico también hacen programas de conservación de especies en peligro, conservación de ecosistemas y programas de estudios de plantas medicinales entre muchísimas cosas más que estudia y crea este espacio.
Es relativamente nuevo este jardín está abierto desde el 2002, está es mi primera vez conociéndolo y quedé con más ganas de visitarlo.
Está parte del jardín se llama "jardín de las lianas" aquí se practica escalada
Me hubiese gustado subir a escalar pero mi miedo mas grande es a las alturas así lo deje para la próxima visita, espero ir pronto otra vez! Los invito!

Lo inexplicable florece en el jardín botánico
Hay una parte misteriosa en todo lo bello de la naturaleza, se dice que en los Andes venezolanos (Mérida, Táchira y Trujillo) ciudades de mucho bosque, montañas y ríos existe la leyenda de los momoyes, que son seres benignos diminutos con apariencia de viejitos usando sombrero y bastón, se dice que son guardianes de la naturaleza con personalidad juguetona y son vistos en las adyacencias de los ríos, si son molestados ensuciando su habitad pueden ser muy traviesos escondiendo tus cosas o haciendo bromas. Se le suele ofrecer "miche" (bebida alcohólica) y tabaco para pedirles algún favor relacionados con cultivos y lluvia.
Está leyenda viene siendo escuchada desde la época de nuestros ancestros indígenas Cuicas.
El tiempo que estuve en el apartamento de mi amiga en Mérida si me sucedieron algunas cosas un poco extrañas, en una ocasión estábamos las dos charlando en el mueble de su sala, estábamos solas y todo estaba cerrado, no había ventana abierta, y de repente salió volando una colita de cabello que mi amiga tenía en en mueble, nos quedamos perplejas solo nos miramos lentamente y seguimos charlando como si nada pero estoy casi seguro fue un momoy. En otra oportunidad en el mismo apartamento estábamos buscando una tarjeta de banco de mi amiga por todo lados, era un apartamento pequeño así que no había muchos lugares donde buscar, mi amiga siempre la dejaba a la vista, en alguna mesa o en la cocina pero no estaba en ningún lado, hasta que volvió a pasar por su peinadora en su cuarto y ahí estaba la tarjeta justo en una esquina, pero lo curiosos es que ella ya habia buscado mil veces por ahí y ahí no estaba la tarjeta, curioso no? Si! Yo si pienso que estaba jugando con nosotras un momoy!
