Saludos cordiales queridos hivers. Les entrego mi nuevo post y espero lo disfruten El día 18 de octubre de 2025 asistí al centro de arte Los Galpones, ubicado en la urbanización Los Chorros de la ciudad de Caracas para la inauguración de la exposición INTENCIONES Y SOLUCIONES, del fotógrafo Rafael Ulises Serrano, quien después de 13 años fuera de Venezuela, revisa y reactualiza un proyecto fotográfico para exponerlo públicamente.

Se trata del ambiente del hogar de su padre, quien se lo confió a su cuidado. Rafael Ulises, con la característica curiosidad de los fotógrafos, decide cámara en mano hacer las tomas, después de observar los espacios, los rincones, los objetos, y con los que le toca convivir de alguna manera.

La exposición es una muestra seleccionada de un conjunto de fotografías que en cierta medida dan cuenta de la forma particular de vivir de su padre, de sus intereses y sus quehaceres. Uno las mira y a veces evoca en parte el Arte Povera, movimiento artístico italiano de la década de 1960, que se caracterizó por usar materiales sencillos y orgánicos como tierra, madera, tela y materiales de desecho doméstico e industrial, y que surge como una crítica a la sociedad industrializada y al consumismo, pretendiendo reconectar con la naturaleza y lo esencial de la vida.

Se puede vislumbrar un aire de intimidad sin tener un carácter demostrativo franco, pero con ternura en la licencia para exponer su dimensión humana.

/ Warm greetings, dear hivers. I am sharing my new post with you and I hope you enjoy it. On October 18, 2025, I attended the Los Galpones art center, located in the Los Chorros neighborhood of Caracas, for the opening of the exhibition INTENTIONS AND SOLUTIONS, by photographer Rafael Ulises Serrano. After 13 years away from Venezuela, he is reviewing and updating a photography project for public display.

It depicts the environment of his father's home, which he entrusted to his care. Rafael Ulises, with the characteristic curiosity of a photographer, decides to take the shots with his camera in hand, after observing the spaces, the corners, the objects, and the things he has to live with in some way.

The exhibition is a selected selection of photographs that, to some extent, reflect his father's particular way of life, his interests, and his activities. Looking at them, one is sometimes reminded of Arte Povera, an Italian art movement of the 1960s characterized by the use of simple, organic materials such as earth, wood, fabric, and household and industrial waste. This movement emerged as a critique of industrialized society and consumerism, seeking to reconnect with nature and the essence of life.

One senses an air of intimacy, without being overtly demonstrative, but with a tenderness in the license to express its human dimension.
