El día 7 de mayo de 2025 salgo de la clase de escritura de guiones de UNEARTE en Plaza Morelos y llego a la estación del metro de la de Los Dos Caminos, ya a las 6:50 de la tarde. Me encuentro con un cielo crepuscular hermosísimo. Veo que la gente está fascinada, detenida contemplando todo el ambiente, las chicas y los chicos con sus celulares tomando fotografías, los policías tomando fotos. Siento que es un momento mágico, de conexión cósmica de muchísima gente encantada, disfrutando la vista de ese bello cielo crepuscular de Caracas.

Me alegra mucho que la fascinación que yo siento ante la contemplación del atardecer, sea compartida por tantas personas, en el lugar y en el momento preciso. Es una conexión emocional y espiritual, con tanta gente desconocida para mi. Para la fascinación recurrente ante la vista de los atardeceres, hay un término específico que es OPACAROFILIA, es decir, que son sentimientos universales con los que la gente en cualquier parte del planeta.

He escuchado a personas decir que mueren por ver un atardecer en la playa, y eso es muy lindo, pero esos instantes los puedes disfrutar desde donde te encuentres. Así que sal, mira y disfruta el placer de vivir la naturaleza.

On May 7, 2025, I leave the screenwriting class at UNEARTE in Plaza Morelos and arrive at the Dos Caminos subway station at 6:50 in the evening. I find a beautiful twilight sky. I see that people are fascinated, stopped contemplating the whole atmosphere, girls and boys with their cell phones taking pictures, policemen taking pictures. I feel that it is a magical moment, of cosmic connection of many enchanted people, enjoying the view of that beautiful twilight sky of Caracas.

I am very happy that the fascination I feel at the contemplation of the sunset is shared by so many people, in the right place at the right time. It is an emotional and spiritual connection with so many people unknown to me. For the recurring fascination with the sight of sunsets, there is a specific term that is OPACAROPHILIA, that is, they are universal feelings with which people anywhere on the planet.

I have heard people say that they are dying to see a sunset on the beach, and that is very nice, but you can enjoy those moments from wherever you are. So go out, watch and enjoy the pleasure of experiencing nature.
