You might think, “It’s just cotton wool.” But there are all kinds of cotton wool—the bear, for example, has a cotton-wool base, while his coat and scarf are made of linen. The effect of the linen stuffing is really interesting—the surface looks just like a down shawl. The teddy bear came together pretty quickly overall, but it didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted. I’ll be making a cat next, and I’ll fix my mistakes on that one. And who knows, maybe I’ll make a second teddy bear too)

The snowman now has his own story. I made him using a quick master class by a skilled artisan—both the instruction and the finished pieces are top-notch. So while access was still free, I worked on him day and night. It’s still sitting there for now—unremarkable and unpainted—but my family has already claimed it for our personal collection. So it won’t be for sale; it’ll stay on our Christmas tree🎄
