[ESP-ENG] Fin de semana recorriendo el folklore de Chile | Weekend touring the folklore of Chile
I am a fan of craft stalls, and here in Santiago there is an area called “Los Dominicos”, where they sell a wide variety of representative crafts from all over the country. There are things of great value and some more accessible, the truth is the effort of these artisans to provide you with something of the highest quality, from sculptures to paintings, in fact; I even noticed that they had a painting class where people were drinking wine and painting, I thought this was just great.
I really like this place, it's like a respite from the city, they sell everything including plants and food, and something I definitely enjoy is the colonial-style buildings. After being in this beautiful place we find a presentation of typical dances of Chile, it is known as "Cueca" and apparently emulates the mating ritual of the rooster with the hen, it is a courtship dance and it is very beautiful, I love them their suits.
I know you enjoy more if you see a few photos, so here I leave my visit to the Dominicans, and then go down to the center of Santiago, which I will talk more about below these photos!
Ahora un poco del baile típico "Cueca"
Now a bit of the typical dance "Cueca"
Then we went down to the center of Santiago, to a very representative place on national dates, a bar called "La piojera" that is characterized by selling drinks and typical foods of the country, that day we tried two, the "Earthquake" which is a drink that has ice cream, a liqueur called pipeño, and grenadine (it's quite sweet but delicious) and the "Chichon" that has a liqueur called Chicha and Pipeño, but the funniest thing that night was finding a 17-year-old boy letting his hair, simply amazing, so I asked her to photograph it, she was also with her mother-in-law who had super long hair too, the truth was a pretty fun day, I hope you liked my post, and now enjoy a few more photos, bye!
