[ES-EN] Visitando una de las 7 maravillas naturales del mundo, Foz de Iguaçu // Visiting one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, Foz do Iguaçu
En marzo tuve la oportunidad de viajar a la Ciudad de Foz de Iguaçu, donde quedan una de las siete maravillas naturales del mundo. Pude constatar el porqué de ese título tan imponente. Como le había comentado en un post anterior, estas fueron mis primeras vacaciones en todos los 4 años que llevo viviendo en Brasil. Llevé de acompañante a mi hija Amanda, de dos años. Puedo decirles que viajar con una niña tan pequeña fue un desafío grandísimo, pero lo superamos como madre e hija y con muchísima paciencia.
In March I had the opportunity to travel to the City of Foz de Iguaçu, where one of the seven natural wonders of the world remains. I was able to see the reason for that imposing title. As I had told you in a previous post, this was my first vacation in all the 4 years I have been living in Brazil. I took my two-year-old daughter Amanda with me. I can tell you that traveling with such a little girl was a huge challenge, but we overcame it as mother and daughter and with a lot of patience.
El día del paseo despertamos en el hotel que nos quedamos y fuimos a desayunar, esta comida estaba incluida en el paquete viaje que habíamos comprado. Luego nos fuimos en el bus del tour con todo el grupo del viaje al Parque de las Cataratas de Iguaçu.
The day of the tour we woke up at the hotel we stayed in and went to have breakfast, this meal was included in the travel package we had bought. Then we went on the tour bus with the whole trip group to the Iguaçu Falls Park.
En el parque embarcamos en otro bus que nos llevaría por las carreteras internas hasta un camino en medio del bosque de donde podríamos ver las cataratas. Salimos del bus y la guía nos indicó que continuaríamos nuestro camino a pie para apreciar toda la inmensidad de la vista. Aunque ella primero nos tomó una foto para inmortalizar este precioso momento.
In the park we embarked on another bus that would take us through the internal roads to a path in the middle of the forest from where we could see the falls. We got out of the bus and the guide told us that we would continue our way on foot to appreciate all the immensity of the view. Although she first took a photo of us to immortalize this precious moment.
En ese lugar que llegamos ya podíamos ver parte de las cataratas y yo en mi ingenuidad pregunté que si eso sería lo más cerca que las veríamos. Desde luego que no fue así y gracias a Dios porque la vista que nos aguardaba era maravillosa. Había muchos turistas haciendo el recorrido y como el camino tenía muchas escaleras decidí llevar a mi hija cargada la mayor parte del tiempo. Mientras caminábamos en el bosque podíamos ir viendo a lo lejos las cataratas y yo iba aprovechando para tomar fotos.
At that place we arrived we could already see part of the waterfalls and in my naivety I asked if that would be the closest we would get to see them. Of course that was not the case and thank God because the view that awaited us was wonderful. There were many tourists making the trek and as the path had many stairs I decided to carry my daughter most of the time. While we were walking in the forest we could see the waterfalls in the distance and I was taking advantage of the opportunity to take pictures.
En el bus nos habían hecho una advertencia sobre unos animalitos que irían a aparecer en el recorrido y estos son los Coaties. Nos dijeron que tuviésemos cuidado con ellos y no les diéramos comida porque solían ser agresivos. Lo cierto es que estos mamíferos no tardaron en aparecer y están acostumbrados a la presencia humana, por lo que llegan super cerca de las personas. Obviamente no perdí la oportunidad de tomarles fotos a estos lindos coatíes.
On the bus we had been warned about some small animals that were going to appear on the route and these are the Coaties. We were told to be careful with them and not to give them food because they used to be aggressive. The truth is that these mammals did not take long to appear and they are accustomed to human presence, so they come super close to people. Obviously I didn't miss the opportunity to take pictures of these cute coatis.
El recorrido fue largo y me cansé bastante por el hecho de estar cargando a Amanda la mayor parte del tiempo. Pero evidentemente valió la pena todo el cansancio que podía tener al llegar al destino. Nuestro destino era un lugar donde llegas bastante cerca de las cataratas a través de un pasillo que fue construido con este propósito. En esta parte se forma una llovizna que te moja todo, yo me previne y compré un impermeable, que fue el que usó mi hija. La belleza de las cataratas es realmente imponente, el lugar tiene una energía increíble.
The ride was long and I got pretty tired from carrying Amanda most of the time. But evidently it was worth all the tiredness I could get when we arrived at our destination. Our destination was a place where you get quite close to the falls through a corridor that was built for this purpose. In this part a drizzle forms that gets you all wet, I forewarned myself and bought a raincoat, which was the one my daughter wore. The beauty of the falls is really impressive, the place has an incredible energy.
Además del pasillo que te deja más cerca de las cataratas hay un ascensor que te permite verlas desde arriba. Fue una experiencia mágica y no descarto volver a visitar este parque. Además, hay partes a las que no fui, hay paseo en barco y trillas más aventureras a las que me encantaría recorrer.
In addition to the walkway that takes you closer to the falls there is an elevator that allows you to see them from above. It was a magical experience and I do not rule out visiting this park again. Also, there are parts I didn't go to, there are boat rides and more adventurous trails that I would love to go on.
