What does every normal old couple do at 10:30 pm?! - Sleeping! Or at least going to sleep!
But not us! - Why?! - Because we have always been far from being normal!
So, what are we doing?!

Fixing Washing Machine

Fixing the bloody washing machine! Or at least trying to do so!

How it all started?
My husband came to tell me (as his study is closer to the big bathroom where the washing machine is placed) that the washing machine started to "sing." 👀

So, I went to see what song was in the repertoire. It was "Error 7."
If you are not familiar with it, it's the one that says that something is clogged (filter, drain pipe, or...).

While we were "playing" around to check everything we knew to check (filter and drain pipes) regarding the "Error 7" song, of course, Bella was around.
She was convinced it must be some new game we play, and she was all ready to receive the instructions on how to jump into it! 😁

In the end, we didn't manage to fix anything. The machine still does not eject water as it should, BUT...

My husband doesn't think that the machine is the problem. 👀
He is convinced it's the current constellation of the planets, or to be precise, retrograde Mercury, which affects or causes (allegedly) devices' malfunction. 😲

Yeah, right! 🙈 - OK! Good!
Now, when everyone has their own opinion (Bella thinks it's a new game, my husband thinks it's retrograde Mercury), let me tell you what I think and what I don't think.

I think I'm going to sleep now, and I don't think, but I'm sure I'm going to call the service first thing tomorrow morning with or without retrograde Mercury in the constellation.

Ugh! Why do appliances and other major expensive things always go "ker-plunk" before the holidays? Good luck getting the washing machine fixed.

Hahaha yeah you should sleep, devices have their way of malfunctioning and trying to fraustrate. Good that you think of calling the service providers, surely they'll know how to fix it. Have a nice rest

hahaha - You bet I did (went to sleep). 😀 There was nothing we could do at that hour.
However, the machine was fixed the following day, and now I'm trying to wash everything before Christmas Eve. (I was quite behind with that even without the machine malfunctioning). 😉🤷‍♀️

hahaha - I'm glad I cheered you up with my story. 😀
The machine was fixed the following day. Besides some wires which were not that well attached (I suppose due to centrifuge and other working shakings), there was nothing. The serviceman told us it's the problem of all new or newer devices - too much electronics.

In short, he thought some chips ran into a "fight," or the whole software went into some argument with itself, showing false errors. Funny and odd!
It took him some while to figure it out, as at first, he was looking for the same (more mechanical) issues as we did the night before, and because of which the machine was allegedly clogged. However, in the end, he restarted it or whatever and fixed it.

However, this software "fights and argues" with itself, but in fact, a false alarm with false error and actually nothing still cost us 60 Euros. 🤷‍♀️😁
This is an almost 10-year-old machine. So, it's not in its spring age, but still.
I remember that back then, when we were buying it, I was looking for a quality device with as fewer electronics as possible. (Even then, finding one completely without the electronics, it was impossible.)

So, now I'm thinking, what kind of show would we have if we bought a more modern, allegedly more sophisticated device with way more electronics?! 😅

You would have more problems! A while back, my car's 'brain was dying. Slowly but surely, it was shutting down various things on the car. I was so worried about getting my window down and not being able to get it back up (it rains a lot here). You just can't get away from technology any more, especially when it comes to appliances and cars!
