Phnom Chhngok Cave in Krong Kampot Kampot Cambodia

Read this post on TravelFeed.io for the best experience

It is time to head out of town to visit some caves that are near by. The ride to the site is not hat hard a long as any road that looks like a road is used to travel to where you want to go.

There are many roads on the map that are dirt paths large enough for a motorbike and some carts to go down.

You must take these routes when finding this place.

Worth the confusion and back tracking to see a view like this.
Worth the confusion and back tracking to see a view like this.

The time spent wandering farm roads was worth getting to a place with a view of the valley below. The major town off in the distanve.

How was this carved so long ago and yet today we can not make the slightest attempt to create stone with such details?

It looms overhead as we enter the cave.
It looms overhead as we enter the cave.

Here is the entrance to the cave.

Into the cave we go...

To dark to see. A photo flash lights the way.
To dark to see.  A photo flash lights the way.

Into the light we go. Oh wait way from the light I must go to see more of the cave.

Lets get to the roots of all this.
Lets get to the roots of all this.

There was not too much to see in the cave but it was worth checking out anyways. Time to leave as the lighting was not very good, it is a cave I remember.

I met a couple who were heading the same way as me after exiting the cave so we ride along together as they have ben to where we are going before. I take the opportunity to take some pictures while not having to navigate.

Not off they go.
Not off they go.

Street Vendors galore.
Street Vendors galore.

Side shot as we ride along.
Side shot as we ride along.

Coming closer to the town the market spill into the streets.

I like taking these side angle shots the depict the bits of reality that I see moving along the city.

The moment of each other seeing each other and only having a moment to recognise what is passing by.

Dirty gets clean often and always.

The town is filled with many places to wander around. I fallow my new friends to a place to eat fresh fish from the ocean that stretches out in front of us.

Kep crab is known in this area.

This must be good, as this area is known for its crabbing.

The meal was delicious and we moved along as the sun got high and hot in the sky.

High sun and it is time to head back to get some work done for the rest of the day.

Very cool, you went to Kep Province and Kampong Trach. I used to live in Kep a few years where I had a Kindergarten. The town has changed a lot, but it is still beautiful and quiet.

Nice yes Kep is a lovely place. I had some people take me around and show me. I would see myself being there for a bit of time. Nice vibe. Why did you move from there? !PIZZA

I opened a small school there back when the local government didn't haven't any offices yet. They encouraged me to open my school there, but then after I began preparing my school, a rich powerful person in the town decided to open a very big private school.

Their school was very expensive to operate and they didn't get many students at first, so they worked with the local police and my landlord to force me out of my house and close my school. There are just too many rich and powerful people in Kep/Kampot, and I realized without VIP friends or a lot of money, my future in that part of the country was very limited.

Ohwow that is a shame that all around the world humans have traded humanity for money. Your school was for kids, I assume, it is about children getting educated and learning not about the money. Weird world that is going on these days. Can we get back to living with nature and taking care of each other?
I am searching for a country to move to where I can be part of the community and stop all this greed power plays for the sake of shiny objects and the cost of the soul.
Good on you for trying to go up against them. Too bad the political system is used to produce more power in few hands. And yes the old idea of joining them if you cant beat them is not the way to help humanity, only oneself. So good on you for making a go where you can. !LUV !PIZZA

But only once a week....is that when you have the time to ponder the love you have for me in your heart?

No regrets, we ultimately now live in the most beautiful place within Cambodia, and I'm glad the urban rat race never worked out for me.

It is wonderful how life will bring us to where we need to be regardless of what we want. I am glad that you found some solace and a home rather then a rat and a race.
Hey thanks for liking my comments, rebloging, voting and commenting. It is really a big help these days...every cent matters.

You must really enjoy the day you have there. Never in my entire life that I went inside a cave. But I want to try it out someday if given the chance to.

Oh you must try and see. It is fascinating to go inside and feel the coolness under the earth.
I hope you try this one day and then you can show me pictures and tell me about how it is.
Please do.

As long as I arrive at the crab statues it is telling me that I am in Kep, which is the symbols and the special things about this province, love you exploration. It was too dark inside, also at the outdoor there is still some history things to see like the statues you show us. I also enjoy taking side angle shots and capturing the unique perspectives of the city. Photography can be a great way to express your creativity and share your unique view of the world with others

Yes it is Kep. A lovely town and wonderful people to be around while there.
What else do you know about this place that you can tell me?
I do tend to just jump right in and go so the dark cave was not seen because of the lack of light and no powerful light but feeling the cave is nice to sometimes, it is about feeling and seeing and not taking pictures. Being there now.

Dear, as I only went there one time so I heard people saying that the road to this province is very difficult to drive in the past, but now it is improved because of the government activities .

Oh yes it was a bit difficult to get around to this place. Perhaps in time you will see it again and let me know how it is then. Best regards. !PIZZA

Is there a command that I could use like !AMMAN that could post gifs like this to posts? So I can call my LoveBot to bring the combined powers of love to a post? I call forth the !ANMAN bot to sprinkle down love on this post with the combined vote of an-man and the an-man.bot That would be cool.
