Those kuri chestnuts showing up in the spiky burrs really say the season is turning, even if the air still feels like July. Summer's hanging on like it forgot to hand over the keys, but the cherry leaves starting to blush in mid September tell another story. Roasted kuri is defintely a comfort, and I can almost taste that cozy shift already. Nature has it's own clock, it keeps ticking toward color.

Glad we’re on the same page. Once those kuri burrs start dropping, the SEason is already knocking, even if teh air still feels like July <. Roasted ones on a cool evening hit the spot.
