love how you pushed the blue ballpoint on cardboard to get that depth, the scribble stays loose yet builds solid form. my scribbles usually start a riot, but yours feel calm and intentional.. The control you showed on those hair strands is ADmirable and the gaze holds together so well.

Thank you. You need to calm your nerves and have a direction before starting out to scribble. Also, try focusing on the darker parts first then move gradually to light.

Solid advice. Your right about setting a clear direction, and and easing into values by hitting the darks first helps keep the scribbles tidy. I’ll keep that flow in mind, then build out to the light, taht balance really steadies the hand.
