Sublime Sunday with BIG BOY ( The Patton Battle Tank, captured) !!! The War Victory Trophy!!!
Hello Everyone, today I am totally in a very different mood since I came across this giant war machine... The Big Boy!!! There are several mixed feelings going through at this moment!!!

Honestly speaking, I am absolutely amazed and bamboozled watching this remarkably giant tank that was used decades ago, before it was caught by the Army by defeating the intruders aiming to invade with the help and assistance of such kind of war machines.

I believe we live in a totally different kind of world now, which is far more technology savvy and fast acting than those giant machines that were in much use before, to intrude at any places and attack the enemy with devastating results. The impact was much bigger too! so was the attack.

Decades later, now, the world believes in sharp, quick and precision aerial attacks that are not detected by any radar or advanced detection mechanism, such kind of transformations are happening all over the world.

Let's let's get back to the time when tanks were much in use to crush the enemy.

Seeing such giant machine amuses and amazes me in the most surprising and shocking way, primarily for the fact, how they were built with so much of iron and other metals, putting them all together and making it work.

When I was taking these captures and standing pretty close, I was absolutely bedazzled and bamboozled thinking how humanity reached this level of building attack machines from homo sapiens sapiens!!!

Anyways, the technology is taking over every thing in a much faster way, making these giant war machines obsolete and almost every military is purely focussing on modernization, rapidly before others take over and become dominant on these factors.

I very carefully went around this tank and tried to capture it from all possible angles and the more and more amused I got seeing it.

Seems like immovable by group of humans and when In power and full throttle it must be roaring loud in the battlefield, back then, but still got captured by brave Indian soldiers showcasing great courage and dignity.

Isn't that damn terrifying, but it's a reality not a dream, and we are living with this reality.
Today's battles are different, probably no straight confrontation more of guerrilla warfare, which is more deadly and devastating.

Back then, slow moving, destructing everything in its way, this Big Boy, battle tank must be a big big flex and fear for the enemy, yet the human power to take over this machine and capture it proved to be of more value and courage.
After decades, even now it proudly stands with great pride, showcasing it's massive mammoth size and amazing history behind, the way it was built and manually assembled together in the times when there was no particular assembly line in manufacturing tanks in large scale, yet captured!!!
From those times, to now, humans and technology has evolved way too faster and pretty rapidly making old models, machines absolutely obsolete.

It is said to be a captured "Pakistani M48 Patton Tank" which is with great pride by the local authorities, permanently displayed as a "war trophy" at:
Bharat Nagar Chowk
Ludhiana
Punjab
India
for one and all to see, believe and feel proud of Indian Army.

So, to put the facts together this "American made tank" was literally captured after fierce ambush, by the Indian Army, during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and eventually brought to Ludhiana for display of war victory trophy and since 1971, 56 years gone by, it still reminds of as victory trophy captured and won with great pride in the war, back then.

This Patton battle tank was developed in the early 1950s by Americans with combat weight of 45 to 50 tons approximately (which is around 45,000 kg)

This is main gun barrel that was functional some 56 Years ago before it was captured by Indian Army.

Though the time flies but this Patton Tank reminds of the times when enemy dares to intrude into other country with a foreign made war machine, the consequences can be very different from those initially thought, this is the bitter reality.

Perhaps nothing is more stronger and powerful than human's determination to fight back and succeed against all odds, this is the reality of life and is applicable in every sphere of life.

The statue of Major Bhupinder Singh who led to the victory at war, now there is a memorial in his name with great respect and admiration of his courage and ambush tactics that led to the victory in the war.

PS: This was just a visit to witness a victorious moment that had happened in the historical past, that's it!
