Narcissistic predators

Nope, it's not what you see, might appear so as a predator, it's just harmless me fooling around with morning shadows. I had the whole yard just for me today after a long long time I haven't be alone without anyone around. Had opened all the doors, this is tavern, earlier used as a food storage, now it's just empty space with plenty of spider webs all over. The stairs that lead to the lower floor, and this bridge over which we cross to the upper part.
I wish to make it functional again.

And this is a predator, ready to open it's gorgeous flowers. It seems to me buds are changing it's shape from hour to hour, there nearby is mine resting spot, from which I can observe what is happening around in the flower garden, catch some sun and lazing as an lizard. Buds literally aimed for every ray, tirelessly following the sun until the shadow finally stepped in.

Around 1:13 pm there were only two of them brave and ready to start the withered path. Yes, I know that flowering comes first, but with that, the withering process has already begun. They suddenly appeared out of nowhere, I didn't even know that the bulbs are growing deep in the ground. It took less than two weeks for them to develop their juicy spiky leaves and only a couple of days for the buds to form. Where is the rush? It's as if so determined to win this year's bloom and be the first to add color to this early spring. Typical for narcissist, right?

Little angry viper, I don't know why from this perspective it looked like some small reptile attacking me, only missing thing is to open it's mouth and bite me. Somewhere around 5:37 pm, a couple more joined them, although the sun was already gone. Every morning while preparing coffee, I look out the window and inform everyone present that today they will finally bloom, I said that the day before yesterday, yesterday, and today.
Tomorrow I am sure they will finally pop out!

Layers and layers, tightly pressed, intertwined. It would be fun to make a team lap, but I'm afraid that the couple of curious owls who stop by before dusk would be too curious about the camera. Last night we were mutually scared of each other. I wasn't expecting her, and she doesn't seem to understand that I live there and that it's normal that I'll be sneaking around even when the sun is gone. Silly owls, soon they'll be gone, I spotted a youngster hanging on the roof and yelling at someone or something, then that someone or something responded with the same screeching noise. That noise was I suppose, dinner order.

Who starts early is the first to finish in the vase, the countdown begins!
And it would be desirable if tomorrow morning while preparing coffee I could look at something just "newborn", I'm tired of the winter gloom, I want colors! All of them!
