POBphotocontest: GREEN

Hello everyone, here is my entry to the POBphotocontest for the week with the theme: GREEN.

There is a popular saying that "the land is green". That's the position of things now as the rains have commenced in earnest. Both plants as well as animals are now responding to the touches of rain.

For this round of contest, the theme is green. And for me, I'll approach this topic from the standpoint of showing some pictures of plants or crops as well as fruits that are greenish in colour.

I came across this mangoes as I passed through my neighbourhood. There are many of them really.

There are also many species of mangoes down here but this one appears to be one of the popular species around.

Up next is the pawpaw which I found at the back of a neighbour's house. Still not ripe and greenish in colour.

The last of my pictures is the cassava farm. This is a popular crop gown throughout this areas too.
