Around Laufenburg

Today, I have a picturesque town on the Upper Rhine that can easily be explored on foot in a day. Yes, it depends on your route, but as a rule, a leisurely tour of the town can easily be done in a day. Important points of the walk include the Rhine promenade, Laufenburg Castle, the bridge to Bad Zurzach, and local cafés for breaks. It was only a short half-day trip because I still had something to look after in that area.

Located on the border between Germany and Switzerland, Laufenburg offers many activities and destinations for every occasion, from its historic old town to its beautiful natural surroundings.

That bridge to Bad Zurzach sounds like the perfect pivot for a loop, especially with those café breaks baked in. I love towns where your feet get scenery and your brain gets coffee. Did you cross to the Swiss side for a quick sip or keep it on the German bank? Feels like an easy win to come back and give the castle a full hour next time.
