Along the shore in Spiez

Spiez is an attractive destination for visitors in Switzerland, it is an active railroad hub, on the southern shore of Lake Thun. It is located on the Lötschberg line and thus on Switzerland's second most important north-south connection. However, the railroad line to Interlaken and connections to Lake Geneva also play an important role.

The main attraction, besides the wonderful landscape with lakes and mountains, is the castle, seen here in the background, with its state rooms dating from the 13th to 18th centuries. It also has a large castle park and the early Romanesque castle church, which is over 1000 years old,
