#995 - Guest Haven Matcha and Coffee Break Shots When in Baguio City.
Lovely weekend dearest Hiveans! Let's all take time to appreciate the little things in life. It's easy to get caught up in our hustles but true happiness often lies in the simple moments like having a meal a together or going out for a weekend walk with the family. A beautiful sunset, a good conversation these are the things that make life worth living. So slow down this weekend as life is a collection of these small precious moments, so let them fill the heart with gratitude and contentment.😉
And now for our daily shots. Located beside the iconic Baguio Cathedral is Guest Haven Café which offers a chill escape from the busy city streets. My wife and I stepped inside one afternoon after dropping by the cathedral. To our surprise, we were the only customers that time, the café’s has this relaxing and cozy interior. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sweet pastries were through the air.
There was a Japanese lady approached us with a warm smile. She introduced herself but forgot her name already, her English was choppy but sincere and she mentioned that she is trying to learn English as second language. We ordered our drinks and I opted for a matcha that's hot as usual and my wife choosing a coffee latte, we didn't order any pastries because we're full at that time but the cakes on display all looked delicious.
We took in the café’s vibrant ambiance, the soft lighting gave a warm glow over the wooden furnitures. The cool afternoon temperature of Baguio seeped in through the balcony adding a chill atmosphere that was relaxing. We posed for photos with the wife's phone camera capturing the moments.
The matcha was unlike any I'd tasted before with the flavor rich and creamy different from the others, I like the bitterness and small amount of sweetness of it. My wife's coffee latte was a work of art with the foam beautiful design. We savored our drinks as the quiet café provided the perfect place for our conversation and plans.
The Guest Haven café with its high reviews had lived up to its reputation and my wife was full of satisfaction, she knew she'd made the right choice in bringing us here. As we finished our drinks with the unique experience of being served by a Japanese lady with her eagerness to learn and connect.
