#992 - Vigan Calle Crisologo Shots for Sunday.
Happy Sabbath lovely Hiveans! Find joy in the journey, Hiveans. Life isn't just about the destination but the experiences and lessons we gather and encounter along the way. Embrace and enjoy the good times, learn from the bad and always keep moving forward no matter what. Your own path is unique and yours alone, so enjoy every single step of it. You're doing great!😉 Hurrahh!
Moving to our daily shots this day is about Ilocos Region. The cobblestone streets of Calle Crisologo in Vigan, Ilocos Sur looks dim under the cloudy morning as we arrived at around eight o'clock in the morning, the morning breeze carryied with it the scents and whispers of our history. The air was a mix of excitement as we stepped onto the well preserved path that is a living proof to the Spanish colonization era. The old houses, with their walls, windows and wooden doors stood proudly. The care and maintenance poured by the locals into these historic structures were evident that each one is like a museum piece frozen in time.
Other tourists, like us, wandered the streets, some of their cameras and phones captured the essence of a old era. The blend of old and new was seamless, several of the old houses had been converted into stores that offering a variety of souvenirs and local delicacies. We browsed through handmade crafts and treats.
The four of us took our time and enjoyed the atmosphere with our hearts swelling in appreciation of this faraway place and its rich history. We posed for photos in front of the iconic houses. We also captured the lively street scenes with the blend of modern tourists and traditional architecture.
As we continued our journey going to Laoag City which is our main destination, the memories of Calle Crisologo once again stayed with us, etched in our hearts, minds and preserved in these photographs shared decentralized in Hive. The experience was more than just a visit to an old street; it was a connection to the past and a celebration of a culture that has stood the test of time and hopefully til the next hi.
