#987 - More of Mount Yangbew Shots for Tuesday.

Greetings and a lovely Tuesday great Hiveans! Every sunset is a reminder that even the brightest days must also come to an end but fear not, for each dawn brings a new canvas to paint our dreams upon. Embrace the cycle Hiveans and let the setting sun inspire you to rest, reflect and then rise again the next day with renewed energy and goal.

Moving on to our daily present, the alarm sounds at an early hour but the promise of a sunrise at the summit of Mount Yangbew in La Trinidad, Benguet was enough to drag my feet out of bed, it was the wife's idea to climb. We packed our backpacks with water and snacks and our phones and set off into the chilly morning air. The taxi drove to the trailhead while we were anticipating the journey ahead.

As we started our hike with the cold air at our noses. The trail was a mix of dirt and rocky paths winding through lush vegetation and some pine trees. Then came the early morning light through the Cordillera mountains.

The minor trek was relatively easy that we tackled with steady paces and encouraging smiles along the way. We chatted softly while the crunch of leaves and twigs under our feet were the only other sounds in the quiet mountain. The cold seeped into our bones too.

About halfway up, we took a break with the water bottles, taking sips to hydrate. My wife brought out her phone and started snapping a few shots of us. As we neared the summit, the sun began its slow climb while casting golden rays that pierced through the horizon. The cold air started to get warm also.

Finally, we reached the top. The view was breathtaking with a panoramic vista of rolling hills, and distant mountains of Baguio and LA Trinidad all in the golden light of the rising sun. We stood there with awe and gratitude. The cold air, the trek, the stunning views was all worth it. We spent what felt like an hour at the summit, taking photos, talking and just being present in that magical moment.
