Moving now to our daily shots, here's more of those travel photos we've taken when we made a stop at Ambuklao Dam. My wife and I arrived just before ten in the morning, yet again missing the damâs water release by a short while, it's our second time being unluckyđ. Still, we decided to make the most of it nonetheless. We decided to walk along the reservoirâs edge, we admired the calm waters reflecting the bright blue sky.
Despite the heat and humidity clinging to the air, the photographic view made the discomfort worth it. We snapped photos of the water surface, the surrounding hills and with each other while capturing the quiet beauty of the moment.
Next, we headed to the massive spillways with its concrete structure towering impressively over the landscape. Standing above it, we felt the sheer scale of the dam, this man-made power contrasting with the natural tranquility of the reservoir below.
More photos were taken in the spillways, this time with the spillwayâs enormous drop as our backdrop. Though weâd hoped to see the rushing water, the stillness had its own charm which could be a reminder that sometimes missed expectations lead to unexpected peace and quiet.
As we left on our way to Baguio, the sun climbed higher and hotter but the memories and our photos would keep the morningâs quiet magic alive.
