And now for our daily shots. Last Monday morning my wife and I returned to Ambuklao Dam, a place that has remained timeless in its serenity. As we arrived, the dam greeted us with its familiar presence, standing strong over the Cordilleran mountains and unchanged over the years. The weather was sunny but the high altitude kept the air crisp and slightly cold, adding to the refreshing atmosphere of the place. It still felt like stepping into a peaceful sanctuary, far from the hustles of daily life.
As we walked around, we noticed a few personnel diligently working to clean the waterways, removing debris and plastic materials before they could flow out through the spillways. Their efforts were a reminder of the importance of preserving these such natural wonders, ensuring that the dam remains pristine for generations to use. It was heartening to see the care being taken to maintain this vital water resource.
What made the visit even more special was the solitude we enjoyed. At around nine in the morning, we were the only visitors there with me and the wife allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the surroundings. We took our time capturing the moment with countless selfies and photosof the surrounding areas of the dam and the surrounding mountains. The quietness of the place made it feel like our own private retreat.
Our return to Ambuklao Dam was not just a trip down memory lane but also a rejuvenating experience once again where we can breathe the Cordilleran fresh airs as much our lungs can take. It reminded us of the beauty of nature and the importance of taking time to appreciate it. As we left once again, we carried with us not just photos but a renewed sense of peace and gratitude.
