#868 - Calle Crisologo Shots for Friday.
Lovely evening once again dearest Hiveans friends! It's finally my day of rest and as the gloomy Friday night descends where I am at, we find solace in the quiet moments that come our way. The darkness outside is a reminder of the mysteries that lie within and the warmth of our hearts is a beacon in the darkness. May this evening bring you all comfort, peace and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Let's take a moment to appreciate the little joys that make life special and know that you are not alone in this journey. Here's to a cozy and peaceful Friday night, and may your dreams be sweet.
Moving on now to our shots of the day this time it's in Calle Crisologo which is in the heart of Vigan city Ilocos Sur and is a living testament to the Philippines rich cultural heritage. This charming cobblestone street which is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a time capsule of the past, with its Spanish colonial architecture, quaint shops, and warm locals. Even the famed coffee shop got a spot along the street and is housed in one of the heritage houses.
Being in Calle Crisologo together with my family, you're going to feel being immediately transported to another era, the past. The narrow street, lined with century-old houses and buildings, is a picturesque blend of Spanish and Filipino architectural styles. The stucco walls, red-tiled roofs, and ornate wood carvings are a feast for the eyes, as are the colorful street lamps and old-fashioned signages.
The street is alive with activity, with locals going about their daily business and tourists snapping photos and soaking up the atmosphere. The air is thick with the scent of kakanin (local snacks) and other native delicacies and the sound of chatter and laughter filled the air. We passed by here on a week day so there's lesser numbers of people and activities compared to weekends.
Calle Crisologo is more than just a street, it's also a living museum that brings the past to the current times which is a testament to the resilience and creativity of the Filipino people. As we explored its winding lanes and alleys, we're struck by the sense of community and shared history that permeates every corner of this charming city. We know that we've experienced something truly special which is a rare glimpse into the Philippines storied past under the Spanish era.
