#783 - Baguio shots for Saturday.

Greetings on a Saturday evening fellow Hivers. It's finally my day off tonight, my last shift for this week ended earlier at three in the afternoon. It's a fruitful day for us. It's also the day off of the wife so late in the afternoon at five we went walking in the river and returned back home before the darkness consumes everything.

Early in the morning also my mother-in-law went to the school to attend a meeting held in my son's classroom. Me and the wife weren't able to attend because I have work and my wife just ended her shift and she needs to sleep also. Glad there's her mother who volunteered. But before she went there she cooked a pig foot or pata in adobo style. I like the viand especially that it has that sweet after taste combined with the soy sauce.

And now for our daily shots we have some photos taken when we went to the city of pines, well we just actually passed by here because we went somewhere else out side the city and that's in the Northern Blossom flower farm which is about an hour away from the city. During our way return trip we passed by the city of pines and there was heavy traffic as expected especially when there's rain pouring down at the same time. Below are three shots showing just one street with lots of vehicles on one side where the congestion is taking place due to a traffic light.

We also went to visit the Camp John Hay park and within the park is a a house which is a residential place of the Americans back in the days in the early 1900s when the country was under their rule. It was one of their operating bases in the country back then. The house is no longer in used but still maintained to pristine condition up to this day for visitors to appreciate. The people in charge of the the place put it a statue of a male Igorot carved from a pine tree trunk at the door entrance of the house.

Here we have slope with some pines trees planted. The trees are decades old and during the weekends this area is pack with people who want to spend their weekend for picnics under the trees. There is no entrance fee here, you just find a chair with table or bring your own blanket and food of course.

There's also this piece of art design indicating the name of the park. We saw at the backyard of the house where there's lots of pine trees also.

On one side of the house is a sunken garden where there are several varieties of plants with flowers. The place is cozy and quiet which is a nice place to be when you don't want to hear any noise and getaway from the city lime lights.

This is what the house looks like before you enter coming from the road. The woods are recently painted and the furniture inside were dusted too. The ambience is cold and there's still a bit of eerie feeling especially when there's only the two of you exploring the inside of the house.
