#567 - Chinatown shots for today.

A blessed Sunday evening fellow Hivers. A couple of weeks ago my wife asked to go to Manila in the Binondo are where the oldest Chinatown in the world is located. She wanted to do a food crawling after we were done doing a six kilometers of brisk walk in the university nearby. So we went there after, we boarded the light rail transit from Cubao and got to Manila in less than twenty minutes. A fast trip indeed haha. Then we started walking from the train station going to the Chinatown, it is only a short distance walk so we looked for a place where we can eat our breakfast. We got here around eight o'clock in the morning.

We went to the Binondo church along Ongpin street and the wife took this photo showing the street sign. There are many people in the streets too during this time and many are also here for the food crawling 🤣.

One of our crawling destination is the Po Heng fresh lumpia. While we were waiting for our order, I pose a photo on the wall where they have this monochrome street art of a woman.

This shot is on the south bridge of Ongpin street. The canal here is dirty and not a good sight to everyone. Hope the local government will do more in their clean up drive to make the canal cleaner.

Another street near Ongpin where there's a number of high rise buildings in the area. There is also this old building standing, I think this was post world war 2 when erected and man, the cables are everywhere here.

Speaking of cables, here is another shot of the Binondo church where the cables and wires are also everywhere.

There were many Chinese food place here but all are packed and there are long queues. Luckily this Ying Ying Tea House is not packed. We were fifth in line waiting. There is also this old building nearby and a lot of cables still.

This is the food I ordered, noodles with siomai. I had to mix the sauce for the noodles to taste and there is a separate soup in a bowl as well.

Another dimsum that we ordered is this kutchay filled dumplings. Overall experience for me here is around 3 out of 5. This place was hyped in my opinion by those food bloggers.
