#506 - Macro shots for today. Critters.
Still a gloomy evening of Tuesday my fellow Hiveans. After our shift ended late afternoon, my wife and Ii went to the river nearby to have a few kilometers of walk. We haven't been able to walk for quite a while because of the subsequent raining in the afternoon also with the schedules tied up we had over the past few days. We really need to sweat something out so fortunately the weather though gloomy was in our favor. It didn't rain so we covered a good distance and sweat a good amount.
For our critter shots in macro for today, got here several shots taken in Cordillera both on Ifugao and Benguet provinces. This first one was recently during our travel to Batad. The big bee bumble bee or carpenter bee is out at a high elevation to get the nectars of these flowers with a view of rice terraces in the background.
Then we have here shots from Baguio where a blue fly seems cleaning its hands after taking part in the feast of nectars.
A tiny brown moth in a tiny yellow flower.
Another blue fly still busy getting pollens from the flower.
Another carpenter bee which is collecting the pollens of this white flower that is slowly loosing its prime.
A honey bee with its shadow on the petals of a yellow flower.
Another type of bee or perhaps a relative of bees also showing interest on this yellow flower.
Follow me on my nature travels.
Shot taken in Cordillera, Philippines.
Great photos 😌😌
Thanks 😉
You're welcome
Glad that you were able to walk with your wife after all the rainy days.
Hope everything is well. Btw, those are lovely photos!

I am sure to take these pictures of these little fellas, it must have taken a great deal of skill and definitely patience. Well, except you were not too close to them. How I wish pollination could be explained with that insect in action and not just in theory. Or the hands-rubbing action or the blue fly. I must commend your works, @allmonitors.
Appreciate it 😊
The bee is really amazing, it's like its body is really divided, parang nahahati ang katawan nila.
Parang mananangal po ba hehe.😉
