#478 - Reaching the Clouds at Mount Pigingan.

Greetings on a Tuesday evening my beloved Hiveans. The sun has finally seen this morning here in Marikina. It's been a couple of days since it was continuously raining almost the entire day. We managed to go out for a quick walk near the river at three in the afternoon but when we were on our way back a small amount of rain started pouring where we are so my wife and I stopped for a moment under the cover of a building. Then waited for a few minutes for the rain to decline. Instead of going back the route we've been because there might be a chance that it will rain again and there is no way for us to get cover anymore except for the trees along the road, we decided to go to a old mall nearby and just kept walking there. Then we saw a restaurant called Mang Inasal where they roast chicken and have unlimited rice with it. So that's where we spent our dinner before six in the evening, we both finished two rice with our meal and then went walking inside the mall once again then went home afterwards.

For our photos of the day, let me share shots taken during our hike to Pigingan which is in Itogon Benguet. My wife and I went there by joining a group of hikers which is way cheaper compared to the two of us alone doing DIY which is costly. My wife arranged all the necessities so we can be there. We rode a van together with another 10 people whom are already friends because their group has been together for several hikes already. We left Metro Manila at nine in the evening and got to the registration site before the hike at four. Then we left at five in the morning and reached one of the stops going to the peak at around nine in the morning. We took this opportunity to take some shots here are they are.

The wife poses with her waterproof pink bag and with the carved mountains in the background. That is a road which only is fit for bikes and motorcycles, no four wheelers are yet able to pass here because of the small road. The clouds are already within our level in the mountain.

The mountains here are so vast we don't even see where we've come from or the trail that we used is also not visible. It was already hot at this time of the day even when the sun is covered by the clouds.

In the middle of the frame where we can see all this greens of mountains with trees and grasses are electric posts which were erected to supply electricity to the rural areas of this province. That's where also the road the we saw in the first several frames leads to.

A wider view of the mountain which has those electrical posts and much of the greens.

Then the clouds which are hovering on the top of the mountains just right in front of us. Seeing this kind of view once is a while gives a relaxing and great feeling of accomplishment while on the hike.

Wow! This looks like a great place to take a hike and some photos! It is definitely very green there (like it is here in Panama). The restaurant sounds great too - unlimited rice, yes please!! Enjoy your day!

We have lots of mountains to conquer here in the country because of its geography. Thanks for stopping by.😉

So cool! We live at the foot of a volcano and my husband and son have climbed it, but I don't plan to. We also have a weekly hiking group that we sometimes go with on hikes. Lots to hike around here too!

Wow! That's cool, living near areas where there's easy access for climbing.

Yes, if only my legs could keep up with my desire to do more hiking. Ha!

Do you usually hike in sandals because it's hot?

It has been this way since our initial hike. We feel more comfortable with sandals since it's always a day hike we do.😉

The view looks just amazing. I so wish I could visit places like this. Only I probably had to rent a moped or a car, because I am not walking up those hills, no way. =)

Great post, thank you for sharing. And again really nice pictures. Looking forward to seeing more posts.

Thanks. There are motorcycle dirt bikes in this area that you can rent which comes with a driver too so you can just relax along the way and enjoy the view.😉
