#1177 - Kabayan Benguet Shots for Thursday.

Now for our daily shots one late afternoon in remote Kabayan, Benguet. I was here with my wife and our good friend Dandreb with a local young lady guide who knew the mountains like the back of her hand.

We were on a mission to see the famous lakes. Our first stop was Lake Ambulalacao with a thick fog over the water, turning the lake into a misty mirror. The air was cold but the scenery was breathtaking.

Right at the edge of the lake were these massive fallen trees which we couldn't resist to climb. We carefully made our way individually onto the logs where we posed for photos with the fog swirling around us. It was a bit risky but the dramatic backdrop made it worth it.

After enjoying the eerie beauty of Ambulalacao, we hiked towards the next Lake Latep with mossy forest that felt like stepping into a fairytale. The trees were in thick moss and the ground was soft and damp where we took some poses.

The hike was tough, taking us almost four hours to complete but standing here with my wife surrounded by nature’s raw beauty, we know felt a huge sense of accomplishment.
