#1168 - Baguio City Hike at Camp John Hay for Our Sunday Shots.

A happy Sunday dearest amazing Hive family everywhere! I hope this day brings you much needed relaxation and joy. Sunday is that perfect pause we get to enjoy before the routine begins again tomorrow and I hope you feel completely at peace. Wishing everyone a safe and serene Sunday. Now for our daily shots with my wife and I went to Camp John Hay in Baguio City well before seven in the morning. The air was cool, typical of the highland weather. We headed straight to the Yellow Trail, one of the many hiking paths in the area. Since it was so early, the place was still quiet and peaceful. We felt like we had the entire forest to ourselves.

As we hiked along the path, we were surrounded by the beauty of the pine trees. These tall trees are the signature of Baguio, standing proudly on the high grounds. The scent of pine was refreshing. Walking among them made us feel small in the best possible way. My wife and I actually stopped a few times to wrap our arms around the trunks of these giants. We gave them a hug since hugging a tree connects us to the earth in a calming way.

As we continued our trek, along the path were tall bushes of Talampunay or known to many as Angel's Trumpet. These plants are fascinating with their large, trumpet shaped flowers. The flowers were in bloom. We slowed down to admire it. Seeing these flowers added a touch of magic to our morning hike. Spending those early hours at the Yellow Trail, breathing in the fresh air, hugging trees and spotting the Angel's Trumpets was the perfect way to start our Sunday in Baguio.
