#1153 - Fun Shots After An Early Morning Jog at Diliman for Wednesday.

Now for our daily shots when my wife and I went for an early morning run at the University of the Philippines Diliman Campus. It is one of our favorite places because the Academic Oval provides a safe, scenic loop perfect for jogging. We aimed for 5 kilometers under the ancient acacia trees.

We decided to slow down and catch our breath right in the middle of the Academic Oval. We walked to one of the lush gardens near the inner circle to stretch. It had rained the night before and the leaves on the plants were covered in droplets.

We leaned in closer and saw a some red insects. I recognized them immediately as red cotton stainers back when we were kids. They were vivid against the green leaves.

We spent several minutes just observing them and taking photos. I tried to get some really close up shots to show their backs. It was amazing to see so much life in such a small spot.
