#1123 - More of Pagudpud Ilocos Norte Shots for Sunday.
A warm and bright Sunday dear Hive family around the world! I hope you are waking up feeling refreshed and ready to enjoy this special day. Today's is that perfect time to pause, breathe and appreciate the beauty around us. May your Sunday be filled with delicious food, happy moments and relaxation. Have a blessed and wonderful day🤗.
Now for our daily shots after a long drive from Metropolitan Manila where we spent twelve long hours on the road and our legs stiff from sitting. But the moment we reached our destination in Pagudpud Ilocos Norte, our exhaustion faded 😅.

My wife had booked a room at a resort that was remote and away from the crowds. When we arrived, the owner informed us that we were the only guests checked in at that time and felt surreal like we had discovered a secret hideout just for us.

I was here with wife, my high school son Joaquin and our good friend Dandreb. We didn't even bother to nap but instead, we headed straight for the beach. It was late afternoon around three.

We didn't have an itinerary that moment, we just wanted to relax especially me of tiredness from driving. We found a spot on the sand in the back of the resort and settled down while waiting for the main event of the sunset and the magical golden hour that comes with it.

The shore in front of our resort was shallow and dotted with rocks and scattered pieces of coral. From time to time, when the heat got a little too warm we would stand up and dip ourselves into the shallow waters. The cool water was a refreshing reward after being stuck in travel for so long. We laughed about how Dandreb who snored half the drive is now the most energetic one.

As the sun began its descent, the sky exploded into golden hour color. The golden hour covered the remote cove in amber light. We sat on the shore while watching the day turn into night, feeling the sea breeze. This lazy afternoon of doing absolutely nothing was exactly what we needed. It made every single one of those twelve hours of driving absolutely worth it.

STOPIn the Philippines, it is hard to say which government department is the most corrupt, because each one seems more corrupt than the others. However, according to surveys, more than 60% of people believe that the police department is very corrupt.
