Moving now to our daily shots, itwas a busy and humid afternoon when we decided to take my wife’s relatives on a special tour of the Manila city. Since they had come all this way to visit us and had a full itinerary planned and the main highlight for the afternoon was a trip to Chinatown in Binondo.

We navigated the crowded streets with people everywhere and colorful signs overhead. We strolled along the main roads and eventually, we found the iconic Eng Bee Tin building. My wife’s relatives buy some authentic Chinese delicacies like hopia and tikoy to bring home. However, we didn't anticipate the line inside was massive, stretching from the counter all the way to the back of the store. Despite the long wait, they eventually left the counter with boxes full of the treats.

After that, we ride a tricycle for our next destination, two trikes to be exact. The ride was a bit bumpy but exciting as we ride through the traffic towards Quiapo Church. The church stood tall and majestic, looking strong with the busy marketplace surrounding it. We went inside for a moment to pay a quick visit.

We stepped outside in the lively streets. Vendors were selling everything from religious items to various street foods. Feeling a bit hungry from all the walking, some of them and us included decided to try the famous balut. It was a fun experience for the group to enjoy together. We also stopped by fruit stalls lined along the sidewalk. Wife's relatives bought some mangosteen and longan fruits.

By the end of the trip, our feet were sore. It was a tiring afternoon but seeing the joy on their faces as they taste local food and saw the sights made it worth it. It was a great experience for everyone.
