#1105 - Strawberry Picking Shots in Benguet for Thursday.
Good morning once again and a bright Thursday to us all dearest Hiveans around the world! Wishing you a Thursday full of clarity and satisfaction. Have a wonderful day, everyone😊.
Moving now to our daily shots, one late morning Monday over La Trinidad, Benguet when we went into the Strawberry Farm at around ten o'clock. This wasn't our first visit but every time feels like the first. The strawberry fields stretched before us with lush green plants with bright red fruits peeking through the leaves.

We rented a small basket for about eight hundred pesos to fill and the fruit hunt began. My wife, our son Joaquin and my wife's relatives went out across different sections of the large farm searching for the reddest strawberries. I watched them for a moment with all their laughter heard across the fields. They'd ate a few into their mouths right there which I think is fine since the small basket is too hefty for 800 pesos.

As for me? Well, I was their driver driving all night and day which had taken its toll. I took a quick, well-earned nap. The hum of people conversations and distant laughter became my lullaby at that moment. Thirty minutes later they returned with the basket full of fresh strawberries.

We then wandered through the rows of makeshift stores and stalls surrounding the farm. Stores overflowed with fresh jams, bottles of different fruit wines and jars of preserves berries, vegetables and more. The relatives started gathering pasalubong or souvenirs. They moved from store to store, comparing items and prices.

Then came the best part. They treated us all to cups of strawberry ice cream which was rich, creamy and bursting with real berry flavor. The cold, sweet cream melted on our tongues and for that moment, everything was perfect.
