#1087 - More of Our Mount Pulag Adventures Shots for Monday.

Good morning dearest Hiveans! A fresh Monday to us all, wherever you are. Let's welcome it with open minds. Remember, every big achievement on Hive starts with a simple yet small action. So here's to a productive and inspired start of this week. 60Wishing us all a Monday filled with clarity and great connections. Let's make it a fantastic week😉.

Moving now to our daily shots, it was 1AM at the Ranger Station, we huddled with other hikers then after a short briefing and prayer, we fired up our headlamps and in our case flashlights, then we walked on the trail.

The Ambangeg Trail is called the easies route going to Mount Pulag, but easy is like a relative term. The path was kinda river of mud from the recent rains. The hike became a challenge from the start but it's the challenge that make you feel better and kept going. For five long hours of trek, the only sounds were our breathing, the sound of mud we stepped on and the occasional whispered of everyone from those ahead and on the rear.

Then the terrain began to change. We're now on dwarf bamboo forests but no sea of clouds just fog and clouds. The final stretch to the summit was grassy, muddy, windy slope. And the cold was a physical force, it's deep chill that my gloves and jacket seemed to unable to cancel out haha.

At the summit were a huge number of people already surrounded the famous Mount Pulag sign. We joined in the cold queue, hugging my wife to generate warmth. The wait felt like eternity but when it was finally our turn, we posed happy on to the marker even with our numb fingers, our faces were still smiling content with the struggles and the achievement.

Though there's no clearing at the summit, that climb was a humble reminder from nature that the most breathtaking views often gets missed out on sometime and it demand a tough journey to reach it. We'll be back this summer, March, hopefully 😊.
