#1075 - Walking my Old Friend and Some Dirty Icecream for Sunday Shots.
Good Sabbath morning dearest Hiveans across the world! A peaceful Sunday to us all. This day offers a perfect time to slow our pace, breathe deeply and simply be. Sending a gentle wave of positivity and energy to each and every one of you. Wishing you a Sunday filled with gentle moments and a heart full of gratitude😍.
Moving now to our daily shots as sun was starting to dip in the sky was that time of the day so my wife and I decided to take our old dog name Jumpy, for his late afternoon walk. Our destination was a large vacant lot about a kilometer away from the house, the lot is right beside a fancy gated subdivision. It’s a place that feels like it belongs to everyone.

This open field is a go to place for all kinds of people living with less means than those in the subdivisions. There's kids playing volleyballs and other kids games. Lots of older people were there too, just walking along the paths and others just sitting, chatting and enjoying the weather.

The whole area is covered in wild meadows with grass and weeds which is also home to some stray cats. Plus, there is a woman pushing her dirty ice cream too, cheap and delicious.

Jumpy our dog who is now a senior gentleman and mostly blind from cataracts was in enjoying it. I didn't let him off his leash, just let his nose to the ground trying to mark all the spots he found interesting. He moved at a slow pace. He’d stop to sniff a particularly kinds of grass sometime. What always amazes me is his relationship with the stray cats. He’s so slow and not a threat that the cats don’t run from him, they allowed him to share their space even in the grassy area.

He wasn't there to run or chase, he was just there to walk carefree. He’d occasionally find a good spot and just lie down while taking in the scent of the earth. Watching him so calm is a kinda lesson in enjoying the simple moments. We stayed until the golden hour began to fade and the area started getting dark. I felt a deep gratitude for my old dog, the company and our quiet walks in this little piece of shared paradise.
