#1068 - More of Mount Tabayoc Summit Shots for Sunday.

Good morning and Happy Sabbath Sunday dearest Hiveans across the world! A peaceful and safe day to us all. To everyone in the path of Typhoon Uwan like us, please stay safe and secure. For those enjoying calmer skies, may your day be filled with simple joys. Wishing everyone a secure and gentle Sundays, no matter what our weather looks like. Take care of yourselves, your fam and each other😉.

Moving now to our daily shots, taking us back when upon reaching the summit of Mount Tabayoc in Kabayan, Benguet, was a challenging journey of four hour climb where every muscle in our legs and hands participated.

But the time we stepped onto that overlooking peak, those hours of struggle instantly vanished right away. It was all worth it. The view that greeted us was something out of a dream. We were standing above the canopy of this world.

There was some portions of good enough clearing right in front of us. Through it, we could see the famous Mount Timbak which we conquered two years back if not mistaken and the majestic slopes of Mount Pulag far away in the distance, looking like an ancient giant.

Just to our sides, the rest of the Cordillera was simply can't be seen which was a bummer. It was a large sea of pure white clouds and fog stretched out. The air was thin and fresh up here and the silence up here was so peaceful.

We had a very special reason for being up there climbing. It was my wife's birthday! We brought a small strawberry cake we had carried all the way up which we purchased from Baguio City.

It was a wonderful idea that suddenly felt perfect because up there on top of the world being surrounded by this breathtaking scenery.. we sang a happy "Happy Birthday" to her. Her smile was bright even though tired.

We then spent a long time just soaking all in under the slight sunny day and taking photos. We took pictures of the magnificent view as the clouds swirled around us. We took selfies and pictures of each other with the sea of clouds as our background. It was a celebration of life, love and beautiful nature all rolled into one unforgettable moment.

The descent back to reality was long for another 4 hours and our bodies were tired but our hearts were full. The celebration of my wife's birthday on the second highest peak in the country whole surrounded by these such raw beauty was an experience that will stay with us forever😍.
