#1064 - Sunflower Shots for Saturday.

Good day once again dearest Hiveans across the globe! A joyful and restful Saturday to you all. Hope you get to fill these precious hours exactly as you wish and with no rush schedules. Now for our daily shots way back when it was just past seven on a semi cold July morning at the University of the Philippines in Diliman Quezon City. My wife and I just finished our morning walk and jog around the academic oval and we both tired, sweating and our muscles aching. We slowed to a walk to cool down in front of the iconic Oblation statue of the University and the sight that greeted us was absolutely breathtaking sea of sunflowers.

There were probably hundreds of sunflowers in full bloom while standing tall. Their large centers were surrounded by yellow petals with each flower looking like their own little sun. They were all facing east following the sunrise that was already warming the day. After our jog, we stood there in the morning air while taking in this field of yellow flowers that's refreshing to the eyes and mind.

My wife immediately forgot her tiredness and pulled out the phone and started taking photos. She then took the perfect shots. She took beautiful Close-up shots capturing the intricate details, the texture of each petal, the lovely pattern of the brown center and the way the early morning light made the entire flower seem to glow especially with the bees visiting.

We spent a good time there, just the two of us and a some other early birds joggers enjoying the quiet of the place. The combination of our post exercise cool down, the cool morning air and the stunning beauty of these sunflowers created a perfect start to our day back then.
