#1054 - Mount Tabayoc Shots for Sunday.

Good day and greetings dearest Hiveans across the world! A wonderfully peaceful Sunday to you all. This day is your perfect invitation to slow down, take a deep breath and simply be kind to yourself and others. It’s a beautiful space in time to reflect, recharge and do the things that truly nourish our spirits. Enjoy this special day😍.

Now for our daily shots, it was cold when we started our early morning hike going to the summit of Mount Tabayoc which is the second highest peak in the Cordillera. The world was quiet except for the sound of our footsteps. As we climbed higher, we entered the famous mossy forest and it was like stepping into another world. The further we climbed the more the forest closed in around us, with its old twisted trees completely draped in a thick colored blanket of mosses. The sunlight struggled to break through the thick canopy too.

Then we started noticing the mushrooms along the trail. They were everywhere, sprouting from the mossy logs, clinging to the sides of trees and its branches. It was a hidden kingdom. We saw tiny vibrant orange mushroom. There were others in green and some in a bright yellow.

They came in all shapes and sizes, some were like tiny umbrellas, others were in different shape and a few were just strange. My wife and I immediately stopped every few steps to take photos. We knelt down sometimes to capture their delicate details.

I also noticed a small snail slowly crawling over a patch of moss right next to it, a reminder that this whole beautiful world existed at its own slow and unhurried flow.

After spending what felt like an hour in the mossy forest, the trail began to break out of the trees. We reached an open area along the path and that’s when we saw it, far below us in the distant valley was Lake Tabeo. The view was absolutely breathtaking!

The lake was perfectly between the rolling slopes of the surrounding area. There was some morning mist still clinging on the aerial view look like a painting. We stood there for a long time while just taking it all in.
